I got a little click happy after the GF and I had a bad break up, because we stayed myspace friends for a couple weeks, until I had to "defriend" her to keep myself from constantly checking it. I remember that she may have had a tracker icon on her profile at one point. Is it possible that I can find out if she had been tracking me? Is there any way for me to view a part of her profile that would tell me if she still has a tracker? Thanks!
Is it possible to find out if I was being tracked????

Is myspace email like hotmail, yahoo, etc where you can track someone's IP address or the computer it came from?
Myspace email isn't like regular email where you can get the internet headers. What you can do is send them a message (or reply to one) with a tracker in it. The tracker will give you their IP addy. Here is how to do that: image tracker in message
I don't want to be too specific in case this person ever reads this forum, but I know someone who has a private profile and who HITS didn't show any trackers of. But, he complained a few of times about all the profile hits he was getting. This must have come just from his headline page or home page or whatever it is called. Ive wondered about that sometimes. Just FWIW
If he has trackers and the profile is marked private HITS would only see the tracker if it was in the headline. HITS also will increase the view count on the profile when viewed. Hope that helps answer your question
Thanks, Smartmom. Presuming HITS wasn't missing a tracker (since it didn't spot one in the headline) I guess that means he was complaining about hits all the way to his profile page, which since it is private, should mean it was some "friend" or "friends" of his doing the stalking. It would seem he could just message that person to stop it if it was bothering him. ... Anyone ... I try to always use HITS, but, does Ad block Plus always work once it's installed, or do you have to periodically update it or reinstall it,or whatever? thanks, as always.
On gigya counter does the counter have a map that shows where the view is coming from?
Its says the person that I think may have been tracking me doesn't have a tracker is there a way they could hide that?
Not likely. 99.99999% of trackers are found by MySpace Scrape, however, if you want to be sure you are not tracked, you need to install and use AdBlock Plus as Smartmom suggested.
If a tracker is not showing up on one persons profile but another person on the same computer has one, can the first person use the other persons tracker to track his profile views? and I read somewhere that if the tracker is in the about me area that it can't be found on Myspace scrape, the profile is public
You can ONLY be tracked if you visited the profile that has the tracker. Example If I have a tracker on my profile and my husband does not and you visit my husbands profile you will NOT be tracked. You will only be tracked it you visit my profile. Myspacescrape (you will also see that called "HITS" here) will search PUBLIC profiles completely. If they put the tracker in the : about me, interests, who I would like to meet, movies - ANYWHERE on the profile it will find it (again only if it is PUBLIC).
If you're really worried about trackers and being tracked then you really need to block them. Its really very simple. GuG has step by step instructions on how to do this. To block trackers see this thread:
How to block myspace trackers
Another way that you can surf with out worry is to use a proxy. What is a proxy? Well when you use a proxy and visit a myspace site that has a tracker it will track you BUT the tracker will be way off. Depending where that proxy is located it will show the track coming from that area, they will not know it is you. There are lots of different proxies out there here is a easy one to use

If your ultra worried block the trackers and use a proxy
