Slash is a guitarist with Velvet Revolver \ is called backslash because it leans back / is called forward slash because it leans forward

no... a backslash is called a backslash because it's a backwards slash; a slash is called a foward slash to destinguish it from a backslash.... the slash is a mark of puncutation dating to Roman times, the backwards slash only dates to the 1960s and has no use outside of computing... "Forward slashes tell your computer you're looking for something external to your system, like web pages. Backslashes tell your computer you're looking for something inside your system, like a drive or a file." this info is from http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/1919 Re: is there a difference with the / "slash"?

good morning jleo, that is a good ? for illiterates like me. on ragepank.com/ then click on seo then go to" the trailing slash does matter". Apparently it's more important to people who design sites because it makes a difference between being in google's supplemental file or not. but it does matter when going to a certain site, also. i hope this is helpful juliek |
