last seen 1 year 34 weeks agoI have a myspace page with no friends (except Tom) and it's set to private. I've had 31 views, and the IP address is one that looks at my regular page a lot too (I think an AOL address)
How is this possible??
If someone just tried to look at your page and gets the private message, theres no way a tracker can pick that up, right? (and it wouldnt count as a view anyway?
Trackers can be placed in headlines..thus allowing a private profile to effectively attempt to track their visitors.
If the viewer is logged into myspace and they view your profile then it will count as one view on the myspace profile views for as long as they are logged into that same session. (and they can view it 100 times during that session and it will still only count as one hit on your myspace profile views.)
On the other hand, with a tracker, they will be tracked everytime they view your profile, and also everytime they refresh your page, etc (I know this to be true with trackspace.net, and I'm sure it applies to most trackers.)

I'm not sure about trackers picking up views on private pages, my page is also private and the trackers I have apparentely only pick up my friends.
I'm not sure I understand the first part of your question, are you worried how someone might have found out your second page? Because it's very easy to track users if you know their several email addresses. That's how I found out some people's pages.
