Is someone putting codes on my myspace page?

Is someone putting codes on my myspace page?

Hope I'm putting this in the right forum....

Anyway, what does this mean? So, I hide my "online now" feature on my myspace page. And I know that once in awhile this feature doesn't work, but today I noticed that not only does my page show when I'm online, but the "online now" icon is different from the default icon. It's a little gray man with headphones on & when I'm online, it says, "What it Do" underneath.

I just changed my password recently, so I don't think anyone has hacked me. Even though this little icon shows up when I'm online, my settings still say that I've hidden my online now status. I'm freaked out because, like I said, this icon is not the standard myspace "online now" icon. I tried to "view page source," but I didn't see anything.

Any thoughts? Just another myspace glitch, or do I need to be worried?

Re: Is someone putting codes on my myspace page?

Firstly, there must be some code in your profile for a custom "online now icon" (either you inadvertantly put it in there, or someone else did as a joke perhaps.)

Anyways, if I understand your question correctly---even when you choose to hide your ''online now status''---the custom ''online now icons'' will appear all of the time when your profile is being viewed. The custom icons will also appear all of the time even if you aren't even online at the time your profile is being viewed.

note: this information is based off of my study that I did last year about custom "online now icons." It is possible that there has been some changes since then that I am unaware of.

Yeah, I meant your myspace url, I could view source and see if I can find anything..

Not sure about the "new" icon, I've only ever seen the default one, unless someone added a custom code.

Thought maybe it could of been part of your layout, but the graphics host might have changed the img.

Part of your layout?

What's the url?

Re: Is someone putting codes on my myspace page?

Forgive my ignorance, I'm not 100% sure what you mean Smiling

Do you mean is the icon part of my layout that I chose? No - I've always had the same layout & this icon was never part of it. Whenever the "hide online" feature isn't working on myspace, the generic "online now" icon has always appeared - not this new funky one.

What's the url - do you mean what's my myspace address?

Thanks for responding Smiling
