I'm with fairy girl. I'm first gen 1.1.4 and have so far seen no reason to upgrade. I have all the apps I want and some I don't need. The only thing I lack is YouTube capabilities. No matter how many times I install or re-install the YouTube patch I can't get it going. I turned Edge off so I'm just using the WiFi to connect. It's supposed to work but oh well. Websites using Quicktime work just fine. SO yeah, I'm sticking with what I got. One day they may temp me away.

This same problem my girlfriend had she has my old iphone 2g and i pwnt it to be able to use on t mobile she signed up for edge and everything but youtube still no work. I updated her phone to 2.0.1 and unlock/jailbroke it and she can now view youtube videos. This may be a reason to update now? rite rite?
Well now that is tempting. I'm going to have to give that some serious thought. This will be tough. I never actually go to YouTube but several sites I visit use Youtube videos. Hmmmmm.

its really not as bad as you think jailbreaking at 2.0 is very safe and easy
Yep that is true as I did it for a friend on her iPhone. The only problem is when someone wishes to downgrade to a previous version!
Still, I didn't like the new version on the phone...call me old fashioned lol
I'm still using my good old first-gen iPhone running on 1.1.4. Not planning on updating anytime soon! Do you have the 2.0 version, boneclinks?
I am using the iphone 3g on 2.0.1 PWNT firmware. Sorry to say this but your crazy to not upgrade, the new applications are soooo coool. Im non stop playing Kirby on the NES emulator i finnaly got running on it.
Sure there are new apps-but most of my old ones won't be on cydia/ installer.
I have the NES emulator too-play supermario,zelda,donkey kong, whatever...all works fine on my 1.1.4!
