Invisible tracking?

Invisible tracking?
I apologize if this subject is redundant... I had a "mixmap tracker" and have a "realmyspace.com" tracker... I am fairly new to all this so bear with me, I checked, (in firefox), and sure enough, you could see the mixmap tracker. I liked that one because it seemed a bit more accurate...but the "realmyspace.com" one wasn't readily visible...at least that I could tell...so I kept it. I wound up deleting the mixmap...if a novice, such as myself could catch in in the "safe" mode...well, yeah. My question is, are there trackers that are truly invisible? Or at least without a picture? Like...what about if it used a word, or a letter? (instead of the picture or black box with text)... If there are, are there ones that (at least seem to be) more or as realiable than the mixmap...the realmyspace tracker is rather, erm...lame. I hope this makes sense... thanks!

Re: Invisible tracking?
Does anyone know a code to block people from seeing your ip address?
Re: Invisible tracking?

I didn't even think it was possible but i just tried this out:

if you use a picture that's only one pixel in size (1x1) then it doesn't show up in the "no styles" view. Unless you select it but even then it's hardly visible. Some trackers actually use 1 pixel pictures so that could be what you're looking for.

Of course they'll still show in the source & abp.

Re: Invisible tracking?
hmm..interesting...so, are you saying you can replace the picture with another one that is only 1 pixel big? how do I do that? Ugh...I need a new hobby;)
Re: Invisible tracking?
Sometimes, there's something in the code about the image size.  You would change it from 100x100 or whatever the size is and change it to 1x1 or add the html to change it (but i don't know what it is right now off the top of my head.)
Re: Invisible tracking?
You can make them all "invisible" but you can always still see them in the source or in the adblock blockable items list.
Re: Invisible tracking?
i like www.trackspace.net it isn't visible at all!!!!! it also picks up people on myspace all by itself sometimes check it out...   also safeprofile.com too.....it's also invisible, as well....
Re: Invisible tracking?
I did it...but you can still see there is something there...if I knew how to do it...I'd make it so the picture looked like a typo or something...or an exclamation point...right?
Re: Invisible tracking?
You mean if someone uses firefox they can see  my mixmap tracker? Do they see it by just going on your page or by hitting source?
Re: Invisible tracking?
I could...when I clicked on "view", (at the top of the page)... then page style, then no style... sure as day, there it was.
