The U.S constitution says it illegal for theme to collect income tax. and even in the IRS books its stated that its voulantary to pay income tax ect. Theirs no law saying you half to pay. I bought a book written about a guy who claims the same thing, that there is no law that states we need to pay income tax and he refused to pay. He went to jail of course. Yes, there is NO law that states we need to pay it, but the Internal Revenue Service has the right (by law) to collect it and enforce collection by any and all means. They can come into your home and take every little thing you own, even personal photos. Doesn't anyone remember the comedian Redd Foxx, and Sammy Davis Jr. and Willie Nelson? (some who come to my mind quickly)....the IRS took everything they owned and sold it to settle the debts, and they still had to pay more money. In the news now is a husband and wife who are fighting the same thing. It is a losing battle.
Actually the IRS is an Administrative Branch empowered by the President and actually used to be under the Department of Agriculture.
The reason why the IRS violates the Constitution is because they aren't the Congress which is the only government body allowed to tax by the constitution.
Neither is what they do with 75% collected taxes constitutional and the only provision in the constitution for taxes is to run government (only 2% of the taxes coalesced is spent on running government) and Defense (Only 23% of taxes collected goes into armed Services and Federal Defense)
Where does the rest go? Into Welfare,Social Security and Medicaid(60%) which isn't stipulated in the Constitution (And kills the American Dream Ambition)
The rest is used to give foreign governments aid (not in constitution), and to "fund wars" abroad (not in constitution)
But IRS wise, they caught everyone mentioned for either Tax Evasion, Purgery, and Fraud and not for not volunteering to pay taxes.
Filing a tax form is like writing a confession, and lying in your confession can get you in heaps of trouble with the law if you are found out so intentionally filing a inaccurate 1040 or 1099 confession is no different.
Willie and Leona didn't file accurate returns and that is what they were busted for, and that "don't have to pay taxes guy" is serving for "filing a false return" which got him booked under Purgery with intent to commit Fraud, I believe (But his Millions in untaxed income v.s. 15years in a low security "country club" jail...who really lost there?)
I don't know if this is true, but someone told me that income taxes were originally supposed to be used only in times of war, then when the was over, the taxing stopped. After WWII, it never stopped. As for the people I mentioned, I didn't mean they had troubles for not paying taxes, just that they had troubles with the IRS period, and my point was that the IRS will come and take everything from you if you don't settle with them, whether it be Perjury or Tax Evasion. Actually, my whole point was that going up against the IRS is a losing battle.

Well people have gone to court over the matter, you half to file your taxes and fill out a amended form if you watched the film it states that in their. the people who the IRS took to court over the matter won in court because they couldn't show the law saying you had to pay. You half to have a jury decide because if you let the judge decide he gets his pay from taxes, so he'll basically rule in favor in the IRS even though thier is no law because they bassicaly pay him.
Reality check.... not everyone has time for court. And court is not just some little thing... it's a pain. You have to ask yourself if it's really worth it... not to mention, if you don't know what you're doing, you're going to lose.
Sometimes it's not worth the hassle... sometimes it's easier to fill out the paper work. And sometimes you get money back...
Not to mention, you basically just made the implication that the taxes go to paying for things such as judges.... which, I think is completely worth paying for... I don't think *income* taxes pay for them, but who knows...

I used to know a guy that was really into this whole concept. It was all he talked about. Well he talked about conspiracies too. Really interesting stuff. The main problem with not paying taxes is we have lots of stuff that's taken care of for us. I mean I don't want to go out and hire a contracter to repave the road I take to work. So I sadly pay my taxes knowing My government will pay some guy to go out and do that. There are people in desperate need of health care and my taxes pay for that person to get medical treatment. (I know that topic will create enough other discussion but oh well. I work for doctors so I see true need all the time.) Yeah taxes suck but for the amount I pay I think a reasonable amount of good comes out of it. I'll just pretend they don't use any of my money for the war.
