IM for a good cause

So many of us already IM already. Today I was IMing with a friend and I noticed he had a "im" next to his name. So I asked what is that for - you know me I have to know. Well Microsoft has a program that if you use "Windows Live Messenger" or "Windows Live Hotmail" you can help out a good cause (free).

Since I already use Windows Live Message all the time I simply followed the instructions and with a couple of clicks I now help out the critters who so desperately need help (I chose the Humane Society). So if you already IM and have one of these then why not help out? Simply click on the "im" to the left of your messenger page (see circled in red)

So does it make any change on your IM? No it only adds a "im" next to your name like this:
