I have windows xp home edition & use firefox as my browser. I noticed something strange with my PC about 3 days ago. I use AVG anti-spyware, avg free edition, zone alarm. Ive scanned it with those, ad aware, spyeraser, spybot,NODS32, ....just about everything, but NOTHING would pick up anything. I finally used IE & did the panda software activescan & it picked up spyware & rootkits....but it wont tell me what the h*ll it is unless i buy -which i wont. I usually fix things myself, but this is p*ssing me off. I used AVG rootkit scan & it came up empty. I've used virus-jotti to scan certain files that i know are infected, but that comes up with nothing as well. How come nothing besides panda will pick it up & how did i get hit in the 1st place with all of this "protection". I dont click on things that im unsure of, i dont download anything, that im not sure of. Im very cautious!
P.s. -i've also used hijackthis & from what i can tell & what hijackthis.de says, everything is safe, but i know it isnt. I downloaded a-squared hijack free 2.1 & it came up with "tricky startups" ......however, when i researched these tricky startups & they said they were "bad", i deleted them in my registry, but they are still there on startup. I just want to know the "source" of the problem, so i can start from there, but it seems impossible. Any ideas?

I did the panda scan thing once and same issue. it was the only thing that detected it. Turns out it was just a log of adware that Ad Aware had created. Stupid panda, no wonder they can't breed in captivity. I think if you save the report Panda creates you can see where the files are located and delete them.
