What To Do If You Did Not Receive Your W-2 Or You Lost It
All W-2's should have been mailed/postmarked to you by January 31, 2007. If you did not receive your W-2, then you should contact your employer. It is possible that your W-2 was returned to them due to an incorrect address. Your employer can issue you a 'reissued statement'. They can also charge for this service.
If you do not receive your W-2 by February 14, 2007, you should contact the IRS (1-800-829-1040). Be prepared to offer them the following information of the name and address of your employer, along with your name, address and social security number.
You are still required to file your return on time even if you do not receive a W-2. Attach Form 4852, Substitute for Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement with your return. Any refund due you will be delayed until the information you provided is verified by the IRS and your employer.
Should you receive a W-2C (Corrected Copy of W-2) and you have already filed your return, you will need to file an amended return 1040X, Amended U.S. Individual Income Tax Return.

I went to the website mentioned and on the front page I found this.
Click here to access a secure login page if you do not have the web address provided by your employer.
So it seems that you will still have to contact your employer or follow the link as mentioned above.
At the very least, it seems to be okay with the secure login, but I suppose anyone could say that.
One reason for possibly going this route might be if you don't have a good relationship with a past employer, or the employer is currently out of business or you don't trust your past employer to get your W-2 to you in time, or the employer wants to charge you an outrageous amount of money.
And then, you can always contact the IRS as the original post states if you are having a problem with a past/current employer.
Just a thought or two.
