I have windows vista and office 2007 when I get a e-mail with a excel file the box pops up with all the programs listed except excel I brouse for excel and find it and it still wont open.Help please
P.S.not very good with computers

I would say that link that Tuna put up is something to try out.
The old school way is to save the attachment to the desktop (if it is an attachment) and then open excel, then select "open", browse to the file and see if Excel can pick it up from there. Perhaps you already tried that.
I dont no it is threw my work.
what is the name of the icon when you click it to open your email? Outlook? Outlook Express? Lotus Notes? etc.

It is an in side corprate e-mail system that I have to log into.If that is any help
actually it doesn't. i'm trying to find out what the email program is. the solution may be just a setting in the email program itself. have you tried the company "help desk" or internet department? or perhaps an administrative assistant/executive assistant - -they usually have to know these things.

Called work they have no idea why and want me to ship them my laptop.They also told me the e-mails come on Inotes ?
surely they will have the answer. so come back & give us an update on what they did to resolve it....oh, and the email program too please

Yes I have excel yes it list office I tryed that and it wont open I have excel on my desk top if I down load the files to my desk top I can open them. But I cant open them from the internet.
