Okay I was checking my trackspace and I hadn't been paying attention to the views from someone who is a private user that looks at my page about 5 times a day b/c it said they were located almost across the world. I put a tracker on another profile of someone close from mixmap and the same IP address showed up(they viewed 7times!) but they were in the same town! I know that you can't see private users on Trackspace but I need advice on what to do, please. When I get all worked up I don't think clearly.
A little paranoid here so to the really knowledgeable fellow geeks who accept emails could I send you a message to ask another question, please.

I know the Mixmap one is correct b/c the hits who view numerously(on trackspace) are nearby but they just never seem to be exact. I know that this tracker will not get me exact results(darn!). I just want to know how to get out of the radar or how to find out who they are exactly. I do not have the targets email address. Ugh I wish they would just go away....ha. ha. I would be so bored then. But seriously I wish they would.
When you run an IP address through a site like ip2location, the result you get is not the location of your viewer, but the main location of the ISP. For example, when i trace an AOL user's IP, what I get back is a Virginia address which is AOL's offices. I use profileviewsplus. For awhile, it wasnt giving me the actual Myspace profiles of my visitors, but lately, every once in a while, it has been. And this is really weird, my son was across from me on his laptop and he looked at my profile, and his profile showed up, but with an IP from Norway! I told him to do it again, and the second time it appeared with our correct IP. When I search my IP address, it comes back with Road Runners main address, as it does with anyone who visits my site who uses Road Runner. anyway, what I think is that these sites aren't totally on-the-money and don't get yourself worked up over it, I did that myself once, then realized I was going crazy for nothing.
neither trackspace or mixmap are all that reliable when it comes to the location they provide for IPs. Run the ip through maxmind or ip2location for a more accurate location determination.
I know people say that, but in my case Mixmap worked...and it busted me! The person whose profile I was watching put up a blog about how they had added Mixmap to their profile. I didn't worry and just kept going to view them. Two weeks later they put the actual map up and lo and behold there was my little town with "12 views" right behind the arrow! I immediately switched to Firefox and added the blockers.
