Hi All,
Hopefully I can explain my situation/question w/o too much confusion here!
Ok, so my profile is set to Private. I have a tracker "inside" my profile (which should only pick up hits from FRIENDS who hit and are able to see me full page.) I also have a tracker in my headline, which picks up hits from FRIENDS as well as hits from people who cannot view my Private page.
I'm going to make up names here in hopes that it will make more sense. So, let's say Sarah is one of my MySpace FRIENDS. I've gotten hits from her before, and so she has shown up on both of my trackers. Sarah then takes a trip out of state to visit a friend of hers. Let's say his name is Jim. He also has a MySpace Page, but is not on my friendlist. Sarah hits my page from Jim's computer while she's there, and the hit shows up on both of my trackers. Then Sarah returns home. The following day, both of my trackers show a hit from the same IP that showed when Sarah hit my page from Jim's computer. And around the same time I had received a message and friend request from Jim. I know for a fact that Sarah is no longer there, so it looks as if Jim got "inside" my profile. Is this possible? How did the "inside" tracker pick up a hit if my profile was set to private and I had not accepted his friend request yet? I'm not looking for a code to get inside Private Profiles, but IS there one out there that people may be using? Jim had to have "hacked" into my profile somehow. Or maybe Sarah gave him her password and he looked at my page via her profile (which seems a little far-fetched).
Anyone have any ideas as to how this may have happened?

Or, maybe while Sarah was on the computer, Jim was looking at what she was doing, commented on your page and thought he would like to be your friend, too. Maybe Sarah showed your page to him thinking he and you would get along. Or, Pat07 gave the most likely answer.
maybe 'sarah' never logged out while at 'jims' and 'jim' took a look at your profile and then 'jim' decided to send you a friend request as well.
Well I was going to say the same thing as pat!
OOH! Never thought of that one, that's very possible. Thanks!!!
yeah, the other possibility that i can think of is that it was totally inadvertantly done by 'jim' (he wasn't snooping, lol) because your profile was probably still in 'jims' browsing history after 'sarah' viewed your profile from 'jims' computer. so 'jim' may have arrived to your profile that way.
