OnlineI know what you are thinking....and no, this thread is not about the movie or reality show! Summer is just weeks away and for most of us, this means High School Reunion. Woohoo! or Not. Depending on who you are and how you feel about your high school days. Were you a bully? Are you afraid to attend the reunion because you think your rival will be waiting with a pair of doubled up fists ready to even the score? Were you voted most likely to succeed and things did not turn out the way you planned? How about wanting to see all of the babes and how they look now? For those of you that moved away from your home town, going home is never the same once you leave. Were you picked on or ignored by the high school clicks and never accepted and now....wow...success..and are anxious to show up styling? I know there are more curious people out there that will show up based on curiosity alone! I'm one.
We attended our 10 year reunion. It was great to see everyone, and to meet all of the people that I heard so much about that went to school with my husband. Was blatantly obvious I was being checked out as the college sweetheart that stole the home town catch! I did enjoy it though! We skipped the 20-year due to a death in the family. The 25-year will be soon. We're planning on attending that one!

Haven't had a 10 year reunion yet...but I see most of the people I went to high school with anyway so I won't be surprised by how they look. There are a couple of people I would like to see, though. Funny, the boys I had a crush on in high school or so unattractive to me now. I've moved on to bigger and better men. ;) A lot of people have kids, though and are or have been married...
Wasn't in a certain clique but I was in everyone's clique if that makes any sense. I was friends with the geeks, the sports people, the cheerleaders, the stoners, and the ones that were picked on. Well... I take that back. I had a steady girl all through school so I guess I was in HER clique. And I mostly did what I was told.
I haven't been to a reunion yet... don't know why. Wasn't convenient... always had something else to do. If I didn't have an excuse, I usually invented one. My 30th is next year and I guess I'll go. No one will recognize me. I used to have long hair. Now my head is buzzed and I no longer wear glasses. If my wife goes, I'll be recognized because she looks the same.
When I had my 10 year reunion I was like 6 months pregnant. I got a cute outfit that didn't scream maternity but looking back I wish I had because I didn't look pregnant I only looked fat - LOL. I had a kick out of seeing the popular jocks really had become nothing. Some of the hot girls well lets say the party college life and years after were not so nice to them. It was entertaining to say the least. My hubby was sick with the flu and made it the first night but the second night he was at home in bed with 104 temp. When my 20 yr rolled around we went to that and saw a couple of old friends and exchanged emails. Basically the 20 years was a joke with everyone trying hard to be what they were not and still trying to form those high school clicks. I think its safe to say I won't attend any more class reunions. I figured if you haven't kept up with me since then oh well your loss. Besides I'm easy to find still for those who know me and are looking for me.
Actually yeah, it's coming up on 10 year reunion time for me (If anyone remembers Plano being in the news about 98 for the heroin busts, that's the city I attended in at the time). I've seen some notifications for it but I doubt I'll be going. Went to a huge school and most of the people I'd really want to bother seeing I'm still great friends with anyway.
I think I'm better off calling them up and going to the bar for a night.

My wife was happy to see that all the "cool" girls were now frickin' cows. And meanwhile, she looked great, as always. One of the friends I knew for years but hadn't seen in 10, looked great, and I told her so. She had somehow gotten tall and extra hot. Talking to her and some drunk teachers having their reunion was the highlight of my evening.
that'a boy! someone honest. thank you devil! i too was so anxious to see the sehctib (backwards) that had cruel intentions and made the movie mean girls look like childsplay! oh, and some of the studs that turned middle-age-waistline-bulging-average -joe, what a shock to see them and their not so hot wives. and the boys p.e. teacher that i always crushed on.....got to throw down a few drinks with him and i'm pretty sure i let the cat out of the bag by the end of the night!
