I recently found a program called HidetheIP and used it a couple of times.  Seems to slow everything down really bad unless you set the "search by speed" to fast.  What I was wondering was, are there any issues with this program?  How well does it work?  How does it hide your IP, and can people get around it?

Ive heard really bad things about HideTheIP. It is rumored to seriously screw of Firefox, suck up your bandwidth to an almost unusable speed. Let me see if I can dig up the old info on it.
