recently my speakers have started making this random noise, almost like mosquito morse code :P i havent changed anything in my set-up ie--new lamps, fans, etc or something that i thought would cause interference. i also checked that everything was plugged in nice and snug; that seemed fine. but last night the noise really threw me for a loop. it happened even with my computer shut off. the only power still on was my power strip. but ive never had to shut that off in the past? are there like basic things i should troubleshoot first? if my hardware stats is helpful i can edit that in. thanks in advance!
Are you in an apartment or a house? When I lived in my old apartment, I had to move my computer, whatever the guy on the other side of the wall was doing, it made my monitor go all wavy, then it would stop. Once I moved the PC to a different wall, it was fine. Maybe you're getting interference from another room?

i have creative speakers. the ones with a "corded" volume control, what i mean is they dont have a power button, just volume level. but this is the first time im having a problem.
