My hubby and I just bought our early Christmas present. A 360 and the Guitar Hero III and the black wireless guitar.

We actually stayed up almost all night on Friday and Saturday, playing this. And by Sunday, our fingers hurt so bad, it wasn't funny.

But we love it! And the Bonus Songs, has Ruby. Really, really love this song. It says it's a 2007 song, which explains why I've never heard it before.

Hubby has to play left handed since he's missing some fingers on his left hand, but it was great for him to be able to play La Grange by ZZ Top. He always wanted to play guitar but wasn't able to. This way, he can. Sort of.  ( ZZ Top was one of the best concerts we've ever been to).

We started on Easy. There is a Medium, Hard and Expert mode of playing. I pretty much got 98 and 99% on the songs on Easy mode. I'm not even going to attempt the Medium, until my fingers stop hurting.

I did some searching on the Internet and there are some forums for Guitar Hero and these kids seem to be able to do Expert mode with no problems. Wow. Maybe someday.

 Cool.  I actually aced the easy and moved on to the medium.  But haven't played since March, for some reason.  Haven't done it online yet though.  Life got busy.

The twins just got Rock Band for their B-day. Oh yeah the 8 year olds along with the 9 & 10, Kick OUR BUTT! LOL, i get boo'd off stage every time. But MAN can I rock that microphone!

wonderful! husband-of-mine bought it last month and he & mini me try to have their own band. we capitalized on a toys-r-us rebate and an online coupon combo and got the entire set up w/all instruments and game for $79. smokin' rockin' deal!

 Lmao at you saying sick.  First time my daughter's S.O. said sick......for the life of me I couldn't figure out what he meant.  But I know now.   

 We did get the Rock Band back in February.  Drums.  Hmmmm.  I had lots of fun with them.

sick actually has two meanings where im from one is good sick and one is bad sick its all about context and can be kinda confusing....

All the local bars have guitar hero i try and go all the time playing when your drunk is pretty fun to sometimes you actually play better and get in a zone. I'm heading to the UK for the leeds festival soon meeting up with some friends for some GH at their local pub should be interesting.

GH3 is a blast.. my buddies and I one up'ed ourselves and went in on Rock Band together.. good times! I'm up to hard on drums.. lol.

got guitar hero 2 and rock band myself.

in terms of a music list, i like rock band's selection better. there was something about guitar hero 2 that just seems a lot more fun than rock band, im not sure what exactly. rock band is a lot of fun, though. the drums take some time to enjoy because you have to have pretty good coordination to get the kick pedal and actual drumming down at the same time.

on guitar, i play expert, always. i strum too fast and anticipate stuff too much to play on lower difficulties, heh.

glad to see you got into it though! it'll definitely become addicting, especially when you get more people playing with you.

Seen the game and it reminds me of my Guitar shaped Synthesizer I've seemed to misplaced in the Many moves in my life.

 

It was really cool cause you press the buttons on the fret board to make key combinations then could use the "Strum Lever" to strum or "virtual Strings" to pick, set the beat, rythem, and style of the music up where the wing nuts would normally be...

 I miss my "Guitar"

 Lol...yes dear....Anytime you want, you are welcome. 

 I hadn't heard of Amplitude until you mentioned it.  I know that GH can be played with a controller.....but I don't think I want to retrain my mind away from the guitar controller.

 I know your feelings about Rock Band, but I'm still curious about it.  Drums sound like fun and I really want to know how the microphone works.  If you are off-key, can you make the band fail?  Can you really hear your voice?  Those kind of questions.

 I'm still a loyal fan of Amplitude, so I'm required to mention that Guitar Hero is such an Amplitude Rip-off...... it just has a really cool controller....
