The end of the year is a great time for reflection. What's the best thing that happened in your life in 2008? What is the most memorable moment or occasion. Did you reach a milestone, suffer a setback, or prefer to put 2008 away and look forward to all 2009 has to offer?
Was this year better or worse than last year? How come?
I'm hoping 2009 will be great because everyone in my family DESERVES it after these past 12 months. Here's to optimism!
to Optimism. "Cheers!"

We welcomed 2008 just one day after the loss of my nephew. This year has been the most difficult emotionally to handle that I can remember in a very long time. I am looking forward to 2009 and all the milestones and memories to be made. I did learn a great deal in the last 12 months, and that is to make each and every moment special and to share yourself. but most of all to not take the little things for granted for it is those that mean the very most. You simply cannot put a price tag on memories the love in your heart and quiet times with those who mean the very most to you.

Up until 1/2 an hour ago, I'd have said that 2008 was one of the worst years of my life. I lost a close friend, I've watched Boyfriend deal with losing his only sibling, I almost lost my father, I could go on, but I won't. It's funny how one little piece of news can change one's outlook. My sister and her hubby have been trying to have a baby for almost 2 years now. She's FINALLY pregnant!!! I'm going to be an AUNT!!! *Happy Dance* 2009's gonna RAWK!

Good times and riches and son of a b..buh..buhhh-biddlyes, I've seen more than I can recall"

Never mind bed shopping, the big question now is, pink yarn or blue yarn?

I love this kind of news. Renews my faith in the idea that someone is watching the farm and making sure it balances out in the end. Blessings to you and your sister. New life is always a good omen.

It does help restore some balance, and it also gives Dad something to look forward to. He's gotta stick around long enough to be a Grandpa!

ack! i forgot the main question.
2007 was great in that my grandson was born. that was most memorable. now, 2008, no major complaints - - just a few periods of adjustment.

2008 can go to hell. LOL. Probably the worst yr of my life, but I learned more about myself than I ever have before. I am glad to see it leave, but grateful for the lessons learned.

hell.
LOL... Stevie!! You were right about the auto censor. A hahahaha!!!!
relocating my family to the east coast was a huge adjustment and by far the biggest leap/move i have ever taken so far away from family in my life. while i am confident it was the right choice husband and i made, career wise, it was a difficult decision to reach.
watching our grandson open his presents on his 1st birthday in october was truly a joyous moment for us. happy we were still in town to accomplish that.
watching mini compete in her baton performance at NAU was a very happy proud moment for us as parents.
my oldest son calling me when he was promoted at work. very proud of him. also, when bella22 and my son bought their first home this past year. another proud parent moment!
i'm sure there are more, but these few came to mind quickly.

The best thing about this year? It will be over soon.
For sure, the rock bottom worst year of my life. However, I managed to find the miracle in it all.
I'm looking forward to leaving this year behind.

This is an easy one for me. I'm certainly better off now than I was a year ago, this year I became more focused, happy and healthy and I'm never going back to the way I was. It was probably the best and most productive year of my adult life, and the train will keep rollin' into next year
