Each contest will have it's own set of rules, but these are the general rules and definitions:
- Who can play/enter: In order to play/enter you must be at least 18 years of age and have an active & validated (free) GrownUpGeek.com account.
- Who cannot play/enter: Banned members (or duplicates of banned accounts), moderators, family members of moderators and members that are under the age of 18 at the close of the contest are not eligible.
- Winners: Winners will be announced in the contest-thread, and an email will be sent to the email address on your GrownUpGeek.com profile
- Multiple winnings: Winners are eligible for only one prize. For example, if only one person enters the contest, the winner receives only one prize, not all prizes.
- Claiming Your Prize: Winners will have 7 days to claim their prize. All unclaimed prizes will go back into the pile to be given away in future contests. To claim your prize you must reply to our notification from the email address on your GrownUpGeek.com profile. Responses from email address other than what is stored in your profile will be ignored.
- Collecting your prize: Cash awards are paid via PayPal or bank check. Winners that choose payment via PayPal must have a valid PayPal account. Winners that choose cash payment by bank check and winners of physical prizes must provide a valid mailing address. Due to UPS restrictions, we cannot deliver to P.O. boxes.
- "Premium Member": In order to qualify as a Premium Member you must have access to the Premium Forums area (Restricted/Private forums), either as a 'Trusted' Member or Premium Member.
- "GuG Store" Items: GuG Store items are "GrownUpGeek.com" merchandise. Only items in the GrownUpGeek/marketplace with GrownUpGeek.com insignia are considered "GuG Store Items"
- Judging, Rules & Winning Decisions: The decision of the judges (site owners) are final. GrownUpGeek.com reserves the right to disqualify contestants if evidence of cheating is found. GrownUpGeek.com reserves the right to cancel a particular contest for any reason (like if we find out that too many people are trying to cheat or 'game' the contest). All rules (general and contest-specific) are subject to change at any time. Check this page and the specific contest page for updates.
- Privacy: Mailing addresses or other information collected for the purpose of prize dispersal (not including email addresses associated with your grownupgeek.com account) are not stored in the GrownUpGeek.com website, webserver, or system.
