Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures

Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
When you want to put a picture on your Myspace profile you normally use a 3rd party hosting site ex. photobucket.com or picturetrail.com etc... If you would like to see more pictures of a user do the following: - Right click anywhere on their myspace page - Click on View Source, this will open up a notepad doc - Now this part is a pain but using the ctrl f (find) look for any 3rd party hosting sites. What I found worked was to do a find for "photo" or for "pic". There will be an address for the link. Copy it and paste into your address bar in your browser. For ex: http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g466/*****spacecodes/thanks/a3***a7.gif This will bring up a picture from their myspace page. - Next you need to delete the end of the web address, ex. from the link that I gave delete: a3***a7.gif then press enter - It should bring you to that users album on the hosting site. Now you are free to look through their pictures ** The link I gave above in the example was altered to hide the album ** This works on some sites but not all, so its trial and error ** sometimes you need to delete more than the last part of the url, ex. delete from / forward and keep trying ** Using Firefox you can right click and view links in the page, this is easier to decipher than going through a notepad view source doc. Good Luck

That sucks, but thanks for telling me!
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Does this not work with imageshack? When I tried it, it sent me to the imageshack login page.
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Imageshack doesn't work with accounts/albums like photobucket or similar sites, so there's no allocation to the person who uploads the pic. Therefore it doesn't work
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Of course, this does not work with private profiles, because all you can see are the profile pics that were uploaded to the myspace server.
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Actually they're not uploaded to the myspace server, they are only linked. ... Anyway, if you get a property like ...IMG_0010-jpg change the number at the end example: ...IMG_0009, ...IMG_0008). Many people use to just upload their pics from their digi cam without changing the name, so if you're lucky, you'll find a few pics of a "set" (Needless to say you only need to try when you want to look at private pics)

i dont get it? say that again?
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
If you use the firefox browser and the extension adblock plus, you can look through a list of all the files that are present on a page. You see all the image files with their full paths so you don't have to search through the source code for photobucket links.
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Or just look through the blockable items in adblock. It's the easiest way really.
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Rather then doing that (if you don't like/have Firefox).... Look for a picture on their page... right click the picture -->then click "Properties" ---->and copy the url under "Location": Example Paste the url into a new window/tab --->delete the end part. If you have fire fox: all you have to do is right click then "copy image location" and fallow the last 2 steps. Hope I helped.
Re: Using View Source in a MySpace profile to view more pictures
Cool! It works! But it didn't find anything for 'photo' or 'pic' so I just looked for the information it shows on thier profile when it says private (which is usually right beside the pic) then looked for a URL with ********.jpg/bmp/gif at the end. It's a hassle, but it works.
