They just don't make TV like they used to! There's a huge hole in the prime time schedule where comedies and sitcoms used to be. I have a huge affection for the old, family-style shows. Even though a lot of people think it's corny, Full House was a great example of this. Their family wasn't perfect (like Leave It To Beaver, which was fine in it's era). The mother died and the brother-in-law and family friend moved in to care for the girls, and wacky hijinks ensued....LOL

I loved the fact that it had catchy theme music, corny opening credits, silly one-liners, and a supposed "moral" by the end of each episode. My favorite of the 3 girls was Stephanie and her "how rude" and "pin a rose on your nose". I loved Jesse and Joey, and even the addition of Rebecca and the twins didn't ruin the show as sometimes expanding the cast can do. And of course the Olsen Twins, who were really cute back then as a spoiled Michelle.

Full House was kind of the end of an era of great, comedic half hour shows for the entire family. The more adult style shows such as Friends, Frasier and Seinfeld were ok but I never got into them. The only recent show that was somewhat similar in style was Reba, and I miss that one too.

I still watch repeats of Full House and it never gets old! There are so many others of that era/style - Growing Pains, Happy Days, The Jeffersons, Laverne & Shirley, Different Strokes, Facts of Life, Family Ties, Family Matters (Do the Urkel! LOL), Three's Company, and who can forget classics like the Cosby Show and Wonder Years. Or obscure shows like Love, Sidney or Just the Ten of Us.

I hope that someday sitcoms can make a comeback! Which ones are your favorites and why?

I've watched a lot of full house in my time. It's funny if you see Bob Saget's stand up act nowadays and compare it to his old Danny Tanner persona. He still does a lot of jokes about full house.
