Free Ringtones

Free Ringtones

You guys have any good websites? I use Myxer. The only cost is in receiving the text message and accessing the internet for a very short period of time... I think I usually get a ring tone for $1. So, any good sites to share?

Re: Free Ringtones

I use 3gforfree.com
I make my ringtones and wallpapers on there. They used to be free but now they ask for a one time fee, I think it's $1.50.

Re: Free Ringtones

another helpful thing to know is this, if you have something like hotmail do this,
go to your phones text messaging. (this will only work if you can send and recieve sounds/images.) and send a text message to your email from your phone, i was playing around with my messaging and found out you can send text messages to your email or any email and vice versa, but do this

send a text message to your email from your phone.
then when you get the message in you email via phone
open the email and save the from address,
then you can send anything from text - images - sounds to your phone, i have done this and have been able to send multiple ringtones to my phone all for free,
TAKE THAT CRICKET! I DONT NEED YOU! I GOT MSN!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Re: Free Ringtones

I make mine with Goldwave.  Sometimes I like to find a good groove and loop it a few times.  <like this>  <or this>

Re: Free Ringtones

mytinyphone.com allows you to upload a song (off your pc) and you can select which section of song you want. (you can save and preview as many cuts as you want) and i think there are some other freebies on the site like graphics/wallpapers. only thing it will cost is internet access. if you have a carrier like tmobile you have to buy a certain budle of internet but you can always call customer service back 5 mins later (after you get all your ringtones etc) and they prorate your useage.

Re: Free Ringtones

I use Audacity to make my own ringtones... some phones don't allow mp3s to be ringtones unless bought off the carrier's site...   Audacity lets you clip your music piece, and convert to .wav (if need be for those certain phones)... you can send it to your phone via bluetooth, or a connector cable... I think there's also a program that allows you to 'send' the file to your phone over the Interwebz...

I have a thread about making ringtones HERE

Re: Free Ringtones

And here's a link to Send to Phone, a free program that sends ringtones (that you make) to your phone minus bluetooth or cables...

Re: Free Ringtones

Hey Anime, I tried this and everything worked but when I got the txt mess., I went to the URL via my phone and now nothing??  Am I missing something ( usually the case) or will I need to pay some sort of fee through my carrier??  I have Tmobile if that helps any..  I REALLY want some Paramore on my tele..  HUGE addict, LOL!!

Re: Free Ringtones

When I used to use software to send ringtones the URL would directly download the tone for me... I can't be sure with that program... I'll look into a few others, maybe that particular one is defective?

Hmm... what phone do you have?? Some of the newer ones either come with cables, or you can easily pick one up so you can connect directly to your computer and bypass using the software... or if you have a microSD card you could transfer via cardreader...

Gimme a few minutes and I'll see what I can find...

K... I found that some software doesn't work with certain phones... so that could your problem... You could try one of the following four:

This

This

This

This

I also don't know if it charges you anything, when I used the program I already was paying for internet... so it might? I don't think it'd be much... but if you can find one, I'd probably spring for the cable to directly connect your phone... especially if you like to change your ringtone often...
