This is the best place I could find to ask this. I just got a blackberry curve yesterday and found that the desktop manager will only sync up with certain 3-rd party organizers (outlook, lotus, etc). The ONE that I can tell is free is Outlook Express but because I have Vista, it will not work. Does anyone know a work around for this?

You know what... it just occurred to me that you meant to do that to Outlook Express (the only free one)so it runs "like" XP. the problem with that is the progtram wont even install in vista... I get something about "program wont install in 64bit"

OK are you running vista 64 or is it saying it won't run in a 64bit environment? There is a version of Outlook for 64bit systems on MS website if you are running a vista64 edition.

When I try to install, the error message says "this product does not install on 64bit platforms".

Hmm, I looked on MS and couldn't find a 64 bit version. Sad

Right click on any program in vista and select properties, from there you can select compatibility tab and run the program in winxp emulation you may also have to select to run the program as administrator from same menu

Re: Free Desktop Organizer fro Blackberry and Vista?

Excellent, I will try it when I get home. Will this work even thought the BB desktop manager is only designed to work with certain 3rd party programs?

Thanks!!
