whoa! Anyone else come across this?
Not sure how useful this is going to be yet, but for anyonewho has an AIM screen name & AIM buddies they want to track, go to imwatching.net. Set up free account. Add your friends' screen names, and you can "watch" them online. It collects "presence data," or information on when users sign on, sign off, go idle or flag themselves as being away. Users are not notified they're being tracked. Site is not affiliated w/ AOL.

Does anyone know what's up with this site? Is it dead? And another question: Does anyone know of anything similar that will let you know if an AOL member is really online but has their screen name hidden?

EDIT: Just FYI, when I refer to "this site", I am talking about imwatching.net. Obvious, I know, but I just wanted to clarify so no one thought I was talking about GUG!

oh, wait, it's not free
You can have a free trial for a couple of days, but then it's 9.95 for two months. Sorry.
