hey guys. I know how to get six songs. you add bodog as a friend, delete bodog, and then add bodog as a friend again.
it hasn't worked for more than six so far. i don't know. i'm still working on it. but i definitely have six fully functional tracks on my standalone player.

You don't need to add bodog anymore.
The default is now six songs automatically.
you can always use projectplaylist.com........join, add the songs you like (if you cannot find what you want on their site, you can use fileden (offers you space to upload songs you must already have on your computer)....but I see that people here know how to do it with the Myspace player. I just happen to like projectplaylist since I can add songs I can't find on Myspace music.
To Tommy Pawlak: i deleted all of your posts because the html was screwing with the page. Please either don't use it or place <code> </code> tags around it.
Can't you just use another player. There are tons of them to choose from. The just upload your songs to a free FTP server then tag them to your player, simple.
Go there: http://myspace.com/cartel94
For band profiles, when you add myspace.com/bodog as a friend, you'll get the option to add a fifth song to a band myspace player.
The bands you see with 8 or so tracks on their myspace player have entered into an agreement with myspace and pay for the priviledge.
However, as I have stated in an earlier post, I manage a myspace musician's page and to bypass this, I created a dedicated music-only myspace for him and linked it on his main profile. I hid all the necessary items like blogs and calendar. I made the text a link back to his primary profile, created a contact box that instructs users not to use that profile to contact and used a vacation message in case they try adding it or emailing. This way, he has nine songs on myspace that fans can add to their profile (outside players won't allow this) and there's still only one myspace to manage. The codes are out there if you look. I'm sure it violates something in their TOS, but it's been a year and no complaints yet.
As far as personal pages, you can only have one profile song.
Hi elleohelle,
Looks like you are an expert in the field. I am an artist and I am trying to put a second Standalone player on my profile. I have created a supplementary MySpace page that I intend to use only as a host of a second Standalone player that I want to add to my main profile. Could you please tell me how can I add this extra player to my main MySpace page. Where can I find the code for it?
you have to use firefox and firebug!!
1. Get Firefox
2. Get Firebug
3. Go to your own myspace music site
4. Wait until site loads completely
5. Open firebug
6. Select “Flash” on the top bar
7. Select “Net” on the next bar down
8. Right click musicplayer.swf or similar and select open in new tab
9. Re-open firebug in the new tab
10. Select html in the second bar down
11. Hover mouse over “html” bit and click “copy html”
12. Go to MSword or other word-processing application
13. Paste previously copied html into MSword
14. Change the bit that says width=”100%” to width=”425”
15. Change the bit that says height=”100%” to height=”350”
16. Copy and paste into music section or wherever you want the player
<edit - if you post the player, please don't have it auto-start>
There's an old thread here all about embedding the myspace player. I did it on a couple then found this in the myspace Terms of Service as a violation:
"7. for band profiles, copying the code for your MySpace Player and embedding it into other profiles or asking other Members to embed it into their profiles; "
So you risk being deleted if you do it, I removed it from the ones I tend to - not worth it.
Personally, I'm not a fan of standalone players on band profiles - fans can't use those as their profile songs and that's not exactly productive from a marketing standpoint. My suggestion would be to add myspace/bodog as a friend, giving you five song slots rather than four and leaving it at that.
