I am: Glad I bought a Mac !

Re: Firefox is soooo slooooowwww

I don't know if this helps but as soon as you push the power button on your mac, hold apple + option + P + R until the start up music sounds. That sort of resets everything. Whenever my computer starts lagging, I do that and it works.

Re: Firefox is soooo slooooowwww

Also Another thing you can do is to go to the address bar and enter about:config
then you will see filter below the address bar in there type browser.sessionhistory then you will need to look for browser.sessionhistory max_total_viewers and double click it and change the value from -1 to 0 now word of warning what this actually does is stop Firefox from caching pages (meaning stops it from storing pages for you) basically as a convenience Firefox will store the pages you have been to so when you click the back button it loads instantly and you don't have to wait, this changes that and makes it have to reload the page, so if you use the back button constantly or your internet speed is slow this is not recommended, 2 what you can also do is after typing about:config in the address bar enter the following into the filter bar network.http.pipelining now if you look to the far right there after entering that in you will see that the value is set as false change this to true by simply double clicking it, then enter in the filter bar put the following network.http.pipelining.maxrequests now look to the far right and you will see the value is 4 double click it and change it to something like 10, now if you go to google.com or something you will notice it loads much quicker, there is also a whole bunch more stuff you can do but this post is large enough.

Re: Firefox is soooo slooooowwww

sometimes mine seems to get a bit slow .i use tools/clear private data and it seems to pick up a bit..maybe im just making that up it and it changes nothing.
i also use the ad block pro extension too so im not wasting bandwith loading annoying ads.
