OK, I have 2 computers right now. One is a Dell running WinXP, the other an old Gateway recently converted over to Linux. I am in LOVE with the Gateway now, and really, really don't want to have to bother switching over the wires to use the WinXP one. However, my Firefox bookmarks won't load onto Linux. Can they be converted somehow? Or do I have to go about it the crazy hard way, by plugging in the Dell, opening each and every bookmarked page, and copying and pasting the link to myself via email, only to have to open them all again on the Gateway, and bookmark from there? Please, tell me there's an easier way.....
converting FireFox bookmarks from Win to Linux?
Will that work if the 2 computers aren't networked, and aren't able to be online at the same time?

Yeah, they need to be able to connect to the internet but not necessarily at the same time. They don't have to be networked.
If you change bookmarks on one computer (depending on your settings) it will upload the changes to the foxmarks server. Then if you use the other computer it will have to connect to the foxmarks server to download the changes.
Can you export the bookmarks to a disk and transfer that way?
Maybe these articles will help?

I thought I would be able to load them onto my flash drive, open that on the Dell, and copy and paste from there. Maybe I can, and I'm just not doing it right, not really sure, I can find the folder on the flash, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to get them off the flash and onto the Dell, and they won't open as links when I try to work from the flash. I click, and nothing happens. At all. No little blue swirl telling me to wait, just, nothing.

How are you "loading" them?
One of the things i love about Firefox is that I can easily copy & paste my entire Firefox profile from my XP machine to my iMac. iMac's OS X is a derivative of Unix and knowing how they make Firefox, i'm guessing this should work with Linux .. Not only does this bring my bookmarks but it also brings saved passwords, cookies, etc..
