facebookspy.org

facebookspy.org

I'm passing this along, just found it but don't know if it works or not. The site claims to be able to let you view private profiles if you have winXP and google toolbar.

Re: facebookspy.org

I am pretty confident that this site will never work, since its purpose is not to show you someone's profile, but to deploy malware to your PC! I have not tried it, and never will. It's only safe to test under a virtual machine, which I don't have. See for yourself:

1. It doesn't have much traffic (see alexa.com). If it really worked, millions of people would be visiting it every day.

2. It is not widely known. A google search "facebookspy.org" returns only 1.5 pages of results, most of which are someone's SIMILAR comments on DIFFERENT sites: "I just stumbled across a site that allows people to view private facebook profiles. The site is at http://www.facebookspy.org. Crazy!"

3. It requires SPECIFICALLY Windows XP, Mozilla Firefox and Google toolbar. Doesn't seem strange it won't work with any other configuration? It likely makes use of some bug present in the Windows version of Google Toolbar for Firefox. It will inject malicious code right into your system, and you wouldn't even notice that! This could be anything, a virus, a trojan, of someone's bot..

If it really worked for anyone, then I might be wrong. But I haven't seen a single such post on the whole web.

Re: facebookspy.org

Hi,

I'm quite scared now...

I have vista and tried to use it a few times... installed the firefox with google toolbar from the link they gave (and it didnt work), so just reinstalled firefox again... Will I have any viruses now? What should I do? Or will any viruses etc. only work on XP?

Please get back to me soon, anyone!!

thanks, Riela

Re: facebookspy.org

Sorry then for the  lack of results. As I said I just found it Sunday but the comp I'm using doesn't have winXP so I couldn't try the link myself, yet. On the original page from which I took the link someone did claim it worked for them after a few tries but that was dated Nov. 19 so maybe facebook closed the loophole.

Re: facebookspy.org

nope doesnt work for me either using firefox. followed exactly as it stated too

Re: facebookspy.org
