shame cause i really really really hate facebook and will never ever get one..
why couldnt ever one just stay content with myspace??
anways onto my question...
i'm assuming there is a boat load of fake facebooks now so someone please point me to the list.. and how the heck are you suppose to spy on people on facebook? it's so private... and only getting privater.
im a bit scared.
i think we're all screwed.

I have a facebook, and never ever use it. Just had to sign up to see what the hype was about.
Be yourself...... Everyone else is taken!
i hate the new layout for facebook. im starting to find myspace more appealing.
At first I couldn't stand FB. It wasn't very intuitive as far as navigation, and you can't customize it's looks as much, and remained a loyal MS'er. I still prefer MS for it's ability to make your profile unique, but lately I've been spending more time on FB, which I never thought I'd say. I've started to see the appeal finally.
When you first join FB you get a little annoyed that it seems to broadcast every little thing you do either via the newsfeed or on your home page (like when you leave a comment on someone's page, everyone else on your friends list is alerted if they visit your page), but after a bit you start to realize that that is exactly what makes it more fun. Everyone starts to join in on everyone else's comments and things, and it feels more like one big chatroom. MS feels more like you're your own little "island" in the middle of an ocean of people.
The use of applications on FB also feels a bit more integrated and natural than on myspace, which tends to make you use them more.

I'm smiling. That alone should scare you.

That's a great way of putting it! That's why I prefer facebook as well
I have both. I like MySpace and Facebook for totally different reasons.
Facebook is family and friends and college contacts.. even some professional contacts. I actually use it to keep in touch with people who are in my daily life.
Myspace is fun and colorful and I have NO professional contacts or family on it, and just a couple of IRL friends.
I like both of them. I think my Myspace is wonderful but I don't really KNOW everyone on there, so I am cautious about adding new people. I trust my Facebook more but I am not on it as much.... though I will say in my circle of friends (late college / 20s-to 30/ young professionals) more people have facebooks than myspaces.
I have both but use my facebook more often because people post much more personal info on there and a lot more pictures than myspace. But you're right, Facebook is very private and a lot harder to crack.
Well here are some topics that might help you along in your search to do a facebook account. I think that myspace will always be the more popular social site because you have more room to customize and play. I think facebook is more for those who don't want to play games. I have both but I don't use my facebook ofter - I find it boring.
I don't have a MySpace anymore but I do have Facebook. I also find it boring but I keep it because a lot of people I know from high school and even elementary school are on there. And people are more personal on Facebook. But I do like MySpace's versatility and the ability to be more creative.
