Re: who's been looking at my Facebook profile
Reading this, I think that the main question isn't "who views" but "did a certain person I'm interested in" view my profile? Apart from what FaceBook won't let you do, there are logical ways to find out if one person shows a real interest in what you do. It's limited, but assuming you have some basic level of access, maybe friend of friend (not hard to achieve) why don't you "like" one of those pages or apps that won't let you access them without clicking "like"? I have someone who I wanted to be sure was sneaking peeks daily on mine, so I added one of those (it's dead now but was a fairground accident), then sat back and waited a whole 2 hours to see the person had also got that same "like" added to their profile. Just to check, I repeated that again. Same result. It's not perfect, but if you have an idea who your target is and can see their "likes" you can set a trap they may fall into. Smile

Yeah, you can lock-down your account, but "hackers" still get your info. That's why FaceBook is always telling you to "change your passwords." FaceBook is not failproof!!! If someone wants a "tracker," if his/her account has been hacked, then I could see wanting a "tracker." You never know -- maybe you'll catch your ID hacker. And, btw, law enforcement is not going to do squat! As if they'd have the $$, manpower, or where-with-all to chase down every "stalker" in the world. There are bigger fish to fry. Besides, FaceBook gives out account info to 3rd parties, and they're the ones to worry about! Wink

There are applications that do that but facebook does not allow any of those applications.Even if you know the IP address of people who viewed your profile, that does not mean you can track that person exactly. Not all computers uses static IP addresses. Mine changes when ever I switch on/off.

I always use fake names and address. I even use new emails that nobody knows to join facebook. In theory facebook should not know who I am or the people I know, however they still came up with suggested friends that I know. They did this before I even added a single person. They must use tracking cookies

That's because facebook is in conjunction with email contacts- when u first get facebook to help u get started they run through email contacts to see which ones have facebook then they get mutual friends from them too.

Re: who's been looking at my Facebook profile
haha dude, when you log on to facebook it knows where in the world you're connecting from and based on that it searches through it's data base and finds other people who are in the same area as you, and if you weren't so paranoid as to post some networks you're in or communities you're in then it will add those to the "filter" and find other people who are also in those networks and communities and facebook will say "hey these guys do this stuff too, you should add them as your friend". Guys facebook doesn't hack anything, they dont break into your private information, they just use what you give them to make it easier to start off.

The suggested friends is based upon who is in your friends list and how many of 'your' friends share the same friends which in turn makes it more likely that you know them; hence the suggestion(Drunk...

Re: who's been looking at my Facebook profile
I found two of my brothers on Facebook that I had not seen since they were babies. They are 18 and 21 now. Every day I would search through hundreds of profiles looking for at least one of them. Neither of them had a page for years but one just recently signed up and I found him while I was doing one of my daily searches. I have gone through over 3000 people and I was determined not to give up. I found one and then the other joined so we could be friends as well. I went to Florida to see them both a month later and its as if we have never been apart. I pray you find your mother and all things will work out for you. Pray for yourself as well, that God will send her to you.
