!
Are you a certified Apple-Lover? Get some BLING !
Please can I have a Mac bling because I am totally in love with my new 80GB ipod classic. I have always loved ipods and before this one I had a ipod nano.
I also recently managed to convince my best friend to change from a Zen Creative to a ipod too
I actually don't know what I would do without it and it is constantly plugged into me ears
My wife got me a first gen iPhone for our one year anniversary. I was seriously incapacitated by just opening the box. This weekend is going to be nothing but playing with my new iPhone. I can't even believe how cool it is. So with two iPods and an iPhone I guess I'm an Apple lover! I'll probably never go back to another cell phone again.
I don't want to die without any scars.
i am a IT Tech / Network Admin /Web and Graphic Designer and i love my macbook (leopard 10.5.4) it is the only computer i use i take it pretty much every where and if am not on it i am on my iphone (jailbroken and sim unlocked)
i also have a old powerbook g4 (running tiger 10.4) and am looking into getting a Mac Pro and the iphone 3G
I also can't walk into the apple store with out buying something (btw mobile me launches tonight i cant wait for my .mac account to change over and for firmware 2.0[friday ?!?!])
Im a HUUGGGEEEE MAC user and fan. My first was an iMac. I accidently walked into a Mac store not knowing much about computers and was told a brief yet convincing story of how Apple has made a comeback and was convinced that i needed to look into it. Did some research, joined a forum asked alot of ?s and bought without hesitation. (2005) Hubby liked it so much he kept it in the divorce and now im on a MiniMac.
Did buy a PC to figure out the OS but now its dead, shouldnt be too surprised because they are junk!! (personal opinion)
SL
I used to be a PC fan, constantly making fun of people who used Mac's. Then my girlfriend got a mac because she is a graphics arts designer. After I had to get the bugs/spyware/viruses off of my pc several times.. and one night I was spending hours trying to reformat the PC when I just decided to load World of warcraft up on the Mac......
So to date I have been playing wow on the mac, with NO PROBLEMS at all, and it is a lot faster on the mac than it was on the pc... yet the PC was better.
So yea, my next computer will be a mac, and it will mainly be for games. Im willing to spend the extra money to have a machine that doesn't constantly get junk on it. I just want something that works.
I don't currently own a Mac, but am looking to get myself a MacBook in the VERY near future. I'm still trying to convince my husband that, yes, I do need a new computer only 6 months after I bought my last one...
I'm IT support for a company that's 75% Mac, and the majority of our calls still come from PC users. Someone needs to tell Vista that it can't be compared to Leopard.
I love apples. When I was a very little kid I used to play maelstrom and make designs with kids pix on our old apple IIsomething or other. When I was in 4th-6th grade I used to play old 5.25" floppy games on the really old macs that didn't even have a GUI. It was great fun. Also, the first computer in my house I really used was a clamshell iBook G3. I would love a Mac Pro, but I don't exactly have multiple thousands to spend on one. OS X is vastly superior to windows. Unix based operating systems rule.
ok i haven't been on here in forever! my pc crashed and i now own a brand new macbook and am going to need some serious help with using it! haha! i dunno maybe not, but i soooo love it so far! better start reading up in here about my new toy!
~You must be the change you wish to see in the world~
woo hoo!
who knew it would be so easy to get me a badge?
i'll have a collection if i get this mac one...yay!
just bought an ipod touch 'cuz i was sick and tired of using my cell phone for online purposes when not at home. plus...the hubby wasn't too thrilled with the phone bills...
so now, with a one shot splurge, i get internet just about anywhere, and tunes to boot...
perfect to drown out my little hellions with...i mean children.
I learned to read on an Apple IIe--on my own--in1986. I felt dirty getting an Intel Mac, because it's not a pure Mac with the Motorola motherboard and processors. I recently bought an Apple IIe off of ebay while on vacation, after swearing that I'd trade all of my modern Macs for the classic Apple IIe. I don't know if that makes me a certified Mac lover or just pathetic.
i've been a PC user most of my life. good ol' Dell..
until i was forced to get a Powerbook by the college i went to. somehow it's easier to manage my life afterwards, and i can get more done... plus it's helped me do creative stuff like music and images more efficiently. i still use the Powerbook G4 Titanium 1GHz today (typing on it now), since then had a G5, MacPro, iPod mini, iPod classic. most Mac's i've owned are pretty souped up - lotsa RAM, HD space, PCI cards, SCSI, uber software optimized...
... and i also professionally fix other ppl's Mac's. is that certified enough? lol.
I grew up using a Mac and have never used anything else! when I bought my first personal computer a G4 I thought it was the best looking computer around and I still think that apple makes the best looking computers out there! aside from being pleasing to the eye its so user friendly. I can usually figure out problems on my own (thats saying a lot) and can we talk about the Mac dashboard and photo booth! I'm lost on a pc. lost I tell you!
I'm a Mac lover for life
*Bling Bling*
I know that each platform has its advantages, but for me Mac is the way to go. I started using Macs professionally in 1994 when I started typesetting (not fancy pants graphic art but when typesetting was a viable business). Throughout the years, I worked as a graphic artist and pre-press professional. Throughout all that time, it was important to maximize my design time and minimize my down time. Although I used both a PC and a Mac, the Mac seemed to never let me down. I have owned a Mac SE, Classic, Quadra 700, PowerMac 6100, PowerMac 8100, PowerMac 7500, G3 (green and the blue & white), PowerBook G3 (Wallstreet), G4 PCI, & 2 G5s.
So, as you can tell, I really love the Mac - it has and continues to be the computer product I rely on!
I have always been a Macgirl. With a graphic design background,it really is the only choice. Married at PC guy though. My Mac (G4) cratered and I have been using his PC since. It is so difficult to use this thing! I am counting down til June 1. That is when I *hopefully* get a Macbook Air! I can't wait to get back to Mac!
Macbook Air..Pink:) It comes in PINK or BLUE..and today..*gasp* one of my International Geek Friends found out that there is a GREEN one. I have not been able to locate an official pic..BUT..it was an employee in Qatar that told him. YAY ALIM!!

"Yeah. I can fly."~Ironman
I used to be a hardcore PC user...you know the type who used to think Macs were for pompous people
but I decided to give them a try and "switched" three years ago. I've have been in love ever since. I purchased a ibook G4 in 2005, and it's logic board just burned out on me
, I heard the g3's and g4's were like the "Pintos" of the Mac laptops. SO...I purchased a MacBook two weeks ago
. I LOVE MACS!!!
i think i'm a "switcher" b/c i run a few pc's at home. but yes i love my apples!!! i run two macpro's at work, have a mac mini at home for extra stuff, an iphone and an ipod and am dying for the day i can buy a macbookpro. and am SO MAD i didn't wait a little longer for the bigger iphone!

"Thanks for the mac badge, Hubby!"
I've got an iMac G5 and a Mac Pro which I tend to use for my web design- it's just so much more convinient and practical (especially when it comes to imagery). Of course PCs have their uses too but from my work and personal life point-of-view the Apple Mac wins hands down.
i have had my ibook for the past two years and i love it!!! i haven't had to curse the computer gods at all with this wonderful piece of machinery...i love safari as a browser and the techs at the apple store are very helpful...and my ipod!!! the best xmas present i ever got...i've lost 23 pounds and i can definitely credit my Cardio playlist to at least half of them!!!
My first experience with mac was over ten years ago when NYU used to have Apple computers in its labs...i fell in love then, unfortunately when i entered the military i could only afford a PC and though my friends and i got a kick out of learning linux, unix and dos...i still missed my Apple...especially during network parties when my Win98 based computer would suddenly freeze up on me...two years ago i finally got my dream ibook with Mac OS X and i fell in love!! not one time have i had to curse the computer gods...safari and Firefox are excellent browsers and i can use iphoto all day...my brother uses his apple to do graphic design and you have to see the amazing thing he does with his MAC Pro...amazing...i would love to learn how to write programs for animation but in the mean time i will settle for uploading songs onto my ipod which by the way was the best Xmas present my sister ever gave me...i've since lost 23.5 pounds working out to my Cardio playlist...although my husband got us a new PC when our old one went kaputz...i will soon get a IMAC to add to my Mac family!!!
now, my first computer was a 1982 Zenith that ran DOS, just a CLI and no GUI; When I started Kindergarten way way back in the bad ol' days of 1991, I was introduced to the schools computers which ran Mac OS, GUI with no accessible CLI. I perfered the CLI of DOS to the GUI of Mac OS; however when my parents bought a Compaq computer that I think was Windows NT 3.1 . This computer had a GUI and a DOS like CLI, but it had a drawing program. Which the Zenith lacked. The Mac's at school had a drawing program, but I didn't like it. Thus far, my favorite interface was the DOS, but the Mac was second; even if both lost out for lack of a quality drawing program. The old Mac Interface, not a name borrowed from IBM's OS/2 with modified FreeBSD kernel under the hood but the old Mac OS interface, was my favorite graphical enviroment until probably XP. So, I love old Mac's. Not as much as DOS CLI, or as modern NT and *nix GUI systems (excluding Mac OSX). But more then other GUI OS's of the same era, and modern GUI Mac and DOS OS's
now, I'll freely admit the only reason I went out of my way to write this is because I want another badge. But it is a heart felt sentiment non the less....
Macs rule. Currently I own both 2 PC's and a Mac Wall Street Powerbook. Used to work exclusively on Macs when I worked in a Photoshop training center, nothing beats a Mac for doing graphics work. My mother has a dual 2.7gHz G5 that I would just love to "inherit" from her, but at least I can use it when I need it. Again, for doing Graphics work, nothing beats a Mac.

Throw the donkey a waffle. C'mon you know you want to... No? You hate donkeys, don't you?
I have about every model of laptop ever released... now I have the 17" intel Powerbook. I had the 15" but my entire computer bag fell into the ocean so I upgraded. Before that, I had a 17" stolen from my car... each time losing 1-3 ipods. I guess the good thing is that I get to keep upgrading.
I love the new I-Phone!
I have been an Apple fan for as long as I have been using computers. My first computer was a Apple IIc and it has just continued on from there. Now I have a 17" G4 Power Book that is an amazing machine I have been putting it through it's paces for almost 4 years and it still works great and believe me I work it hard. However I would like to trade up to a new 17" MacBook Pro more prwer is never a bad thing
. Also can't say enough good about the iPod, quite an amazing device I would expect nothing less from Apple.
i used to be a mac hater but about 5 years ago i had to do a movie for my class using idvd on the macs at school. i fell in love and since then i've had an ibook and now i have a powerbook, and convince my parents to get an imac for his photoshop use and hopefully in the near future i can get a mac book pro. i also have an aiport extreme, an ipod and a shuffle, i have the slvr which has itunes and i can't wait to get the iphone since i have cingular. i am an absolute apple lover!
I'm glad I found this thread
I'm a Mac user of 3 years. Started using them before that, since I was in college for Graphic Design and they used Macs in the design labs. I have a Powerbook G4. Best birthday gift I've ever received! I want to upgrade to a MacBook Pro soon.
I have an iPod too of course!
I'd love to rep a lil Mac-Lover icon!
I've been an Apple lover since its creation. I've owned an Apple II, Apple IIGS, the MAC plus, the grape iMac, iBook, a MAC G4 in my classroom (although, I may request an eMac from the district), and now I'm the proud owner of a MacBrook Pro with the Intel processor. As you can see, I've upgraded through the years. I've been using Apples/MACs since the late 80s. I'm proud to say that I've NEVER owned a PC.
I'm in love with my Ipod (with the movie player). I'm thinking about getting the new ipod shuffle so I can take it to the gym.
I'm new, but smart enough to have been using a Mac before it was cool!!!!!
Our Mac is 6 years old now and not a thing wrong with it (well the sleep light does flash 3x stop and than start again over and over and over and over!!!), (new one in the works saving our$$$$$$$$$) just this past year did it start to be a little to slow on videos, they just last and last.
We had iPods when people said i-What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm new so what exactly is BLING? I own 6 older macs, excessive? I just like my macs and why upgrade if they still suit my needs from time to time. Plus if I ever have a temporary crash I'm not completely stranded. Anyway I really don't like OSX I only recently have been forced to upgrade 2 of my Macs to OSX. I don't exclude myself from PC's though, I have 4 of those.
I have a MAC OS/X.......Macs are the best!! Ofcourse, I am a designer---maybe that's why I love them so much...but, it's true--Macs are much more user friendly and ofcourse, the design aspect of it is MUCH, MUCH greater than PCs....I only use PC's when I absolutely have to!!
It's wonderful to have choices & I have gone both ways. The old pc sits at the other end of the desk, gathering dust- but will still jump up for you with the heart of a lion, old windows98 & all. The laptop that runs windows xp (that drives me crazy) is in the other room for the kiddos. BUT- From the first time I opened my iMac OSX that was it, I was home... I crossed over, haven't been back
