Dexter rocks. It's the first time since I can remember that we see a show from the perspective of the bad guy.

It funny, entertaining, smart, it has great dialogues, good music and a great cast (except for the chick that plays Dexter's sister).

Another smaller thing that got me hooked on this show from the start was that it shows perfectly how damaged normal people can be and you get the feeling that the psycopath is the only one there whose life isn't in shambles.

Any other Dexter fans out there?

OMG this season is the BEST, I can't believe how crazy it is. I will have to say I am a HUGE Dexter fan but the last season I kind of lost interest glad this season was so captivating.

Ok i made it through season 1 and it was good. Season 2 im halfway through now and i dont really like it. Hes kinda....whiney. Like Molten said down below I would pucch Deb in the nose in real life (im paraphrasing haha) but on the show she makes me LOL quite often. Shes smart...yet so DUMB sometimes!

really? i liked season 2. well i like all the seasons. i think Dexter is too funny sometimes. in the books though he's just a riot and you can see why he comes off as whiney. he just doesn't understand how he ends up being everyone's go-to-guy when he just doesn't feel anything for anyone. except Debs sometimes and he's basically just always scared to make her angry lol. the thoughts in his head are so darkly funny.

i've only read 3 of the books though so not sure if he changes, as his character has on the show as the seasons have progressed.

We are all caught up with the new episodes and I ended up liking the show more and more each season (season 2 excluded). I also like Deb on the show, but wow, what a potty mouth. LOL.

So i know im totally late to the party- but I started watching Dexter this weekend. Im halfway through Season 1 and I am enjoying it immensely! I love how detatched and unemotional he is- and im a little bit worried about the comments below where people are saying his attitude changes in season 2. For me personally, its that cold, emotionless behavior that makes me love the show.

I was out of town recently and saw a billboard with Dexter and a baby...having no idea what the show was my coworker piped up that she loved that show and I had to watch it....like I need another show to fill up my Tivo that I never get a chance to watch...I barely caught up on Heroes between plane rides this last week!!!

But she did say she was addicted to Dexter so I'll add it....

We just finished season 1 last week and are on season 2. I didn't like it at first but it is growning on me, my husband liked it from the first episode. You can stream season 1 and 2 on netflix.

I liked the seasons best to least in sequential order I think... hopefully this 4th one changes that trend. Still a great show. I got tired of Dexter's girlfriend (now wife?) and a couple other plot threads seemed to get old fast.
