OnlineSo I just saw this on TV and looked it up. Ugly Models - I guess its quite popular. Now I checked out the site and some are beautiful but I guess not the next top model. Some were just plain out ugly, very overweight, tattooed head to toe or just kinda freakish. They range from all ages. But think about it not everyone can be a top model and they do need the adverage Joe for print ads and for the tv / movies so why not.
So since most of us are not the next top model but just the adverage joe would you put your mug on a ugly modeling site?
Since I found most of the ppl to be normal or nice looking I found the name "ugly" a turn off. I mean I can see it at a party. Stranger "What do you do for a living?", Adverage Joe "I'm a UGLY Model". I think I would like it better if it was called something like "Adverage Joe Modeling" - really what is ugly to one may not be to another.
I got excited reading this, thinking I can finally cash in on my looks. But I agree with those of you who said those people aren't even ugly.

Some of those people are not ugly enough! They are just not typical models like 6 ft tall and skinny.
It's interesting though. One day a top designer might wake up and decide they want unusual looking people and those "ugly" models should be in the money! Not likely though but I think I recall a designer at some point using non typical models in a catwalk show.
I saw this on the news like a month ago... I want to be an ugly model. Think there's a market for a short bald guy w/ a devil beard?

well once site is london, the other n.y. - both of which are usually on the cutting edge of fashion, setting our seasonal trends. in this particular case, i think they are just symbolizing the the word "ugly" as a trend. i've seen "ugly" tee's, clothing, jewelry, and the use of the word "ugly" popular with the high school/college crowd.
