ok, this problem has been bugging me for so long now,
my computer monitor is from gateway, my comp is from eachines, now the monitor is not an insta-on monitor, it takes time to warm up, and its too dark, sometimes, i cant even view movies on youtube, now im lost on what to do, ive turned the brightness, contrast, and the RGB colors all the way up, and its still just too dark for my liking, any help ?
37.8 kHz/ 60Hz
and i cannot change that setting from my monitor itself sadly

It's dying.  That's how CRT's often go away... they fade.   I suggest a new Acer LCD monitor.  Haven't seen a bad one yet.
