Will it be "closure" for the fans or a set up to a sequel? Either way, husband-of-mine and I will be catching this flick on opening day! We will probably hold what we call a Sex-and-the-City-Season-Marathon starting at least 72-hours before we catch the movie at the theater. So many "slips" have been made already about what is expected to happen. Are they "slips" or is it a set up to what is really not going to happen. Suddenly I feel like Carrie Bradshaw as I hear my voice type this and talking in circles, always trying to rationalize a situation before it happens.

Mr. Big, (Chris Noth). Eye candy. I will miss him the most. Tall, dark, and handsome. And Mr. Smooth with his lines, always!

How did it end last:

Carrie - when the season ended, she was in Paris with "the Russian," when Mr. Big arrived and finally said "she's the one." Will she finally marry Big? Or does she stand him up?

Charlotte & Harry - when the season ended, her and Harry decided to adopt the baby from China. Did they or does she finally conceive?

Miranda, Steve, baby Brady, and Steve's Mom - when the season ended, they moved to Brooklyn. Will they move back to the city?

Samantha - when the season ended, she was cancer free (breast cancer) and was planning on telling Smith, hot boyfriend, that she loves him. Did I say hot! hot! hot?! boyfriend?!

So, with that known, who really gets married? Smith and ~~Amanda~~ Samantha? or Carrie and Big?

Will be get closure on Carrie's BFF, Stanford? Does he finally hook up with Charlotte's wedding planner gay friend Anthony? Or is it one of those two character's that die? Is it from Aids? or Does Amanda die from the breast cancer? Or is it Steve's mom?

I need to stop trying to guess how it plays out. So, any Sex and the City fans out there? What are your predictions? Click here for the trailer.

I've started watching Season I on HBO Demand. It takes me back to the days when I first became addicted. Its so cool to see how the characters have evolved over the years. I even had the intro song as my ringtone back than. Looking back gets me all emotional. I'm afraid its that serious.

I was watching the DVDs and it was so funny. It even felt like it was so long ago! Those were the days when Carrie used to talk directly to the screen!

Oh,yea..that totally ruined the first season for me. I remember one scene she's typing on her apple...then she turns to the camera and talks directly into it..hate it!

okay - i cannot take it any more. the movie was so damn good. here are my favorite scenes by emotion:

my favorite "seriously made me cry" scene is when carrie received Big's call while she was waiting for him at the church and he said he was not coming and then the cellphone drops slow motion style and she graps her stomach and says, "get me out of here!" *man that was a tear jerker!*

my favorite "MAD" scene was when carrie and Big's cars met in the street after he stood her up and she gets out of the limo, runs up the street in her beautiful gown and heels and she beats the *shit* out of him with her bouquet and yells, "i am humiliated."

favorite "LMFAO" scene: Maranda's monster bush poking out of the sides of her bathing suit.

Gosh yes, I did cry when carrie yells "get me out of here!"

Also, I was shocked for about 10 minutes when Steve confesses to Miranda what he has done..I so NEVER expected that from him!

I loved the movie..but i think there were too little "samantha" scenes. Like "my dog ran on your d*ck..em..deck!"

I was thinking that too! She didn't "develop" as much as I expected her to, but I'm happy with the scenes she had.

yes! finally was able to see the flick. husband-of-mine and i really had a great time watching it. there is no other person i'd rather see with since we followed the series from beginning to end. it was everything we had hoped it to be!

Want to hear a funny...My hubby was Kristen Davis's Drama Teacher at AC Flora in Columbia SC...Kristen and I were classmates...*lol* Hear from her from time to time...Last comment from her was after I sent her a message letting her know I had been contacted by the globe regarding pics of her online....

She was a sweetheart way back then and doesn't seem to have changed much at all...I tease her and tell her I am going to put the play photos and are ya ready Beta tapes online from the plays we did in school ...I would Never...

Oh 2na I'm jealous! I told my husband today if he doesn't have to work on Saturday we are going! My daughter will be gone all day at a birthday/sleepover! So I told him we could go to a matinee!!!

OMG, I saw the movie last night! I loved it I had heard all kinds of rumors about the movie and what it was going to be about and so forth, but it wasn't really like that at all--or at least, to a certain extent. It was a total chick flick that made me laugh and cry.

I'm so tempted to buy the whole series. I just love those girls!

yes! she was also tom hank's wife in bonfire of the vanities. and in the b-rate comedy: live nude girls (about a group of women who have a sleepover as a bachelorette party, and talk about sex and related fantasies) gee...that's no surprise! i think she could give dr. ruth a run for her money.

Saw it opening night...LOVED IT! a little too much nudity/close-2-po*n action for my tastes but the movie was great. worth going to the theater for and paying $$ i thought.

Only thing was i saw it at 10:20 and it's ya know over two and a half hours long...there was an EIGHT YEAR OLD sitting behind me watching it with her mom laughing at all the jokes about *icks, dildos, sex, etc... AWFUL!

And there was a 1 yr old there who was crying and the mom was shushing i wanted to be like "CRAZY LADY DO NOT SHUSH YOUR BABY, HE HAS A RIGHT TO CRY, IT IS MIDNIGHT AND HE SHOULD BE IN BED" i felt soooooooo bad for that baby. that somehow his mom thought seeing a movie that went almost to 1AM was more important than her baby being able to sleep. Almost worse with the 8 yr old because believe you me that stuff in that movie was NOT for little eyes. and she will Remember it, unlike the baby.

how do people let them in to the movie in the first place???

Young baby i could aaaaaaaaalmost understand because sometimes they can sleep through anything and you've got to get out of the house at some point. but...yeah a 1 yr old and an 8 yr old....not okay.

I can't believe any parent would think to bring a child under 18 to a movie like this. I mean, it's rated R and everything, but the word "sex" in the title is dead giveaway of what the movie's actually going to be about! I would never bring my kid to something like that. Even after he/she turned legal, it would still be weird.

But I'm glad you loved the movie! My sister said she saw it. She was one of those that was like, "Can you change the channel?" when I was watching the reruns on TBS. Now, she's like, "I think I want to watch the series now." I was like, "Duh! That's what I've been trying to tell you!"

We're going to see it on Thursday. It'll be a girls night out

my opinion is that if you loved the series you'll love the movie.

it's like the series x 100 though and nudity is one reason why.

but i mean if you can get over that, if you liked the series i think you will like the movie too.

who's amanda? u mean samantha right? i was like maaaaaan i don't know the show like i thought!!

It opens today...YAY!!! can't wait to get a chance to see it!!

I haven't gone to the theater since the Da Vinci Code (which SUCKED! it couldn't even compare to the book...i mean come on, she didn't even have red hair!!! i think that ticked me off almost as much as all the other major stuff they left out).

But i am willing to unsnap my purse wallet to go see this movie. Apparently it's gotten bad reviews. But maybe those people weren't avid Sex&the City fans.

Q: any men going to see this movie or that liked the/didn't mind the series? a date of mine is saying that he wouldn't mine seeing it, but i keep telling him that they might confiscate his man card at the ticket booth. do u think he's telling the truth that he kinda likes the show (in his words "it isn't bad. i used to watch it and didn't mind it")? i'm thinkin he's either praying i'll say no that i don't want to go, or idk....

On an LJ group, someone mentioned that they saw it and they loved it (I think the person lived in Europe, and it already premiered there). Is it really 141 minutes? Ooh, I'm going to see if my husband wouldn't mind sitting through that length of a chick flick.
