I am: Not Telling

According to what the member stated, the pc in question is in the possession of his son who is away at college. If he and/or his wife purchased said PC, then installing a keylogger on it (whether remotely or locally) is a far cry from "a free pass to jail".

Re: Capri200's question

The issues here are:

1) We are talking about a remotely installed keylogger (somtimes aka a Trojan)

2) Presumably the logee is over 18 years of age

3) We do not know who owns the subject pc/laptop - as it was stated "My SON has his laptop in college"

4) We do not know what state capri is in, or do we know what state the logee is in. Laws on remote keylogger usage may vary depending on the state

Hopefully Capri200 will repost the question and clarify these items so we know that we are not giving advice on any illegal activity, which as we all know is not permitted at this website.
