I couldn't log in either, when I added the "s" to the http it worked but apparently that just makes it a secure page. Now I can't use any applications so it didn't really solve anything. When I log in regularly my page is lined up on the left side and has like 7 language options. Any ideas how to make the real log in work again? I tried cleaning all the cookies and caches already.

shit i have the same problem and im getting mad...anyways have you tried using one of your friends computer or going to the library to check if your facebook doesnt work or maybe it's your computer that has a virus and it won't let you through.

anyone received security alert which warn you that you are directed to a248.e.akamai.net when log in to facebook in recent month? i just faced the problem again.. although i used the connect facebook.com, and it did work. but what's the a248.e.akamai.net..?i afraid it infected my other web browser as well

Eddie.. from what I can make of it.. it appears to be a secondary unsecured server of some sort..(Overflow/Backup?). I have ran two computers simultaneously off the same wireless network. There appears to be no damage. I use Trend Micro, and for the most part, it will indicate whether information is being pulled off my system or put in my system. I have had no problems...but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY TRANSACTIONS REQUIRING CREDIT CARDS, PAYPAY, OR ETC....Good luck JS

I can't log onto my FaceBook account, keeps saying my password is wrong & to get a new password, which I have done several times & I still get "WRONG PASSWORD"...got letters & numbers which I did try & still get "WRONG PASSSWORD" PLEASE HELP ME SOLVE THIS.

Unfortunately there aren't any Facebook employees participating here yet. The particular issue you're having would probably need to be solved by their customer service reps. Go to their Help page where you can they try to narrow down your issue. If you click on one of the links there then scroll down there's a link that says "Write us a message" which opens up a contact form. Good luck!

Does anyone know how to actually fix the problem. I too am seeing this webpage when I try to log into facebook. This is probably not the site you are looking for! You attempted to reach login.facebook.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as a248.e.akamai.net. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of login.facebook.com. You should not proceed. Help me understand

ok, so I'm having the same problem as everyone else on here, one desktop and 2 laptops, sometimes we can get on using all 3 other time only one, no matter what browser we use google chrome..IE or firefox..what is this a248.e.akamai.net is it a virus? my internet provider says it is and I need to take my pc's in for repair, is there a way I can fix this? Please Help... Going crazy in Canada

This problem is driving me nuts! I have 2 computers sitting on my desk. One MAC, one PC. I can log into Facebook with my MAC, but haven't been able to login using the PC in a couple of months. Have tried everything from clearing the caches, different browsers, resetting zone levels, running Malwarebytes but nothing clears up the problem. On a whim, I created a new account using the PC, but then when the confirm email came in and I clicked the link to log in I got the "The webpage at https://login.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.".

Same as everyone else. I tried all of the suggestions and what worked, as in I was able to connect, was I disconnected my wireless router. I went straight into my modem via an rj 45 cable. There was no sign of a certificate issue. I thought perhaps a neighbor with some time and the desire to decipher my wireless password had tried to gain access to my info. I changed all of my passwords to all of my finance and email etc. twice as a precaution. This is an issue at night and never during the day.

I can not login to Facebook. When I got to any facebook site and try it only gives me a blank window. If I try loging in on any type of Facebook, nothing. I even tried to login by getting a new user. But it only gives me a blank screen. My husband can login under his name on the same computer and get in. Same with my daughter. But when I go to the login page, it gives me a blank screen. Anything I do with Facebook gives me a blank screen. I tried to login on my iPhone and it just says that I can not login at this time try again at another time. This is very fustrating. Can anyone help me?

I had the same problem logging on to Facebook, every time I tried to login it would redirect me back to the login page and I never got my email requests for me to reset a new passord. SO, I have IE 8 and found out how to fix this in about 5 minutes. Open your IE 8 browser and click on the top on "Tools" then scroll down to "Internet Options" then click on the top "Security" tab for your INTERNET zone's settings and unselect the check in the box for "Enable Protected Mode" and then click "apply" at the bottom = then click on the TRUSTED zone's settings and again unselect the check box for "Enable Protected Mode" and then click "apply". Close your IE 8 browser. Open your IE 8 browser again so now your settings have taken affect.
