I dont understand.. What is a "freeze" website? Can you give more info, and the exact wording of the "can't log in" message?

Re: Can't login to Facebook
This problem is driving me nuts! I have 2 computers sitting on my desk. One MAC, one PC. I can log into Facebook with my MAC, but haven't been able to login using the PC in a couple of months. Have tried everything from clearing the caches, different browsers, resetting zone levels, running Malwarebytes but nothing clears up the problem. On a whim, I created a new account using the PC, but then when the confirm email came in and I clicked the link to log in I got the "The webpage at https://login.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.".

Re: Can't login to Facebook
I was googling the akamai virus theory and generally found it wasn't a virus but a security certificate issue. Companies that have high traffic on their websites use companies like akamai to act as a traffic cop. Anyway, the problem we are seeing has to do with facebook.com and their security certificate is listed as akamai. On a whim I typed in https://www.facebook.com and was logged in from my PC! Wink

I ran CCleaner on my wife's computer and the problem was fixed. www.CCleaner.com. It's a free program.

Re: Can't login to Facebook

Same as everyone else. I tried all of the suggestions and what worked, as in I was able to connect, was I disconnected my wireless router. I went straight into my modem via an rj 45 cable. There was no sign of a certificate issue. I thought perhaps a neighbor with some time and the desire to decipher my wireless password had tried to gain access to my info. I changed all of my passwords to all of my finance and email etc. twice as a precaution. This is an issue at night and never during the day.
