start with the basic curry sauce:

The extra whats:
a scoop or two of the basic sauce
add about 1/4 cup of butter (or ghee)
add about 1/3 cup of cream... depending how creamy you like it
4 cardamon pods
2/3 cups of yogart
1/4 tsp cinnamon (or one stick) .... depends how cinnamony you like it
1 tsp of black pepper
*some recipes also add in ground almonds but i dont but its an option*
the extra hows:
put the yogart over the chicken and let it sit for as long as u can (this tenderizes it.... this is also the start of afghani chicken)
for butter chicken you blend to a smooth consistancy the basic curry sauce and everything else BUT the yogart (cause that's on the chicken) and use only 1/8 of the butter to the sauce cause the rest you'll be cooking with ,... now let this simmer in a different pan OR the same pan you'll cook the chicken in and put it in a bowl
cook the chicken in the pan with oil (butter works best but if you're watching your diet.... well i guess you shouldn't be eating BUTTER chicken)
when the chicken is starting to cook a little and brown on the outsides then add the rest of the sauce
let it simmer for about 7-10 min in a pan
you can change depending on how soupy you like your meals (some poeple like it really soupy and soak their rice in it)
