last seen 8 hours 42 min agoI've never really thought to bring this up to anyone, but my wife and I have had some looks and snickers over it. So here goes. Does anyone think that the Burger King character in their commercials is.. well... creepy in a.. well.... icky kind of way?
Remember the SNL cartoon with Ace and Gary and they wore tights and did weird things? That's kind of what that creepy King reminds me of. Whoever came up with that ad campaign had to have been on hallucinogens.
It sure as hell never made ME hungry.

im not a burger person so it hasnt affected whether i go to bk or not.

OMG!!I noticed that after those "king" commercials came out that I stopped eating at burger king. I think the creepiest commercials are the ones when the person opened the shade to a window and the king was standing right outside the window. Or the other one where the dude wakes up and finds the king next to him in the bed looking at him. Yeah I think, I won't venturing out to burger king for awhile. However, I do like the new commercials they have with the guys dressed as whoppers. They try to go into a McDonald's and some guys are stopping them and they say "what are you Ronald's body guards?"

I like that he's creepy. I kinda thought that was the point, in an underhanded sort of way...
The first commercial I remember him in was the "Big Rock Candy Mountain" song, except it was "Chicken Tendercrisp something or other" And the guy from Hootie and the Blowfish was singing it. I think the King was pushing Brooke Burke on a swing. Bizzare stuff.

Lol. I love the King!! My ex and I used to crack up every time a BK commercial was on. Once we were driving upstate and were stopped at a red light. There was a Burger King across the street and a guy dressed as the King was standing out front dancing and running around after people. We couldn't stop laughing. The King is great. Although I agree he shouldn't be breaking into people's houses. Even if it is to feed them.
