Breast Buddies - 3 Day Walk

How many "Breast Buddies" do we have on GUG? Anyone participate, know a participant, or are familiar with the Breast Cancer 3-Day Campaign? I just signed up today to begin training to participate in my city walk which is scheduled in November of this year. It will be a 60-mile journey. My first! There are two types of cancer that take the lives of women in my family: Breast Cancer and Ovarian. Gee...I'm not sure which is worse! Anyway, I also have several close friends who are survivors of breast cancer. Knock-on-wood. And there are several types of breast cancer, not just the "lump detected" type:

  1. In Situ  & Invasive
  2. Inflammatory 

I would love to hear from those who have participated and what you did to train, get in shape, and prepare yourself for such a journey.

Would also enjoy hearing from those who will be walking for their first time this year.

I have not heard of this particular walk! Keep us posted, sounds awesome! I did the Race for the Cure 5K last year and plan on doing it again. Thanks also for the links!

No one ever does these thing were I live. I would like someone to have one here. However we do have the march for babies..

 I've done the Susan B Komen walk for the cure a couple of times and I think it's a wonderful thing.  I really enjoyed it and walked with a friend who is a breast cancer survivor.
