I love brain teasers - So if you have one share it. Here are some for you:

This is not a test - just a phenomenon. All readings are ex plained.

Wheel of Confusion

Which way is the wheel turning!?
Focus on the red dots and follow them round... it appears to be rotating anti-clockwise. However, if you follow the yellow dots round instead, the whole wheel will be turning the other way! - clockwise!

Have you ever seen those optical illusion truck wraps? I've see a couple of them (pringles and pepsi) but here are some awesome ones.

I will admit the first time I saw one (pringles) I about wrecked my truck - it is ultra cool.

Ok, I have a brain teaser that a teacher once gave me while I was in Junior High and I haven't been able to figure it out since now! Maybe you guys will be able to:

The answer will always be a lie because the truth teller will reply with whatever the liar would actually say (aka a lie), and the liar will say the opposite of what the truth teller would say.

You would want to take the OPPOSITE of what both tell you. They will both respond with the same path.

They APPEAR to be exactly the same, but they actually are not. Working from the top right, go 3 boxes to the left, see that small blank area left white? It's bigger on the top triangle. Go down the entire triangle, you can see that's each space along the diagonal line is smaller on the bottom triangle, In fact on the 8th box from the right there is no space at all on the bottom, and visibly a space on the top triangle. A little space from many boxes, allows for one entire box to be left open on the bottom

OK here is a couple of teasers - I'll post the answers in a few hours if no one gets them:

BULB:

Imagine you are in a room with 3 switches. In an adjacent room there are 3 bulbs (let's say in lamps which are on a regular table), each switch belongs to one bulb. All are off at the moment. It is impossible to see from one room to another. No help from anybody else is allowed.
How can you find out which switch belongs to which bulb, if you may enter the room with the bulbs only once?

Ball in hole:

A table tennis ball (= a ping pong ball) fell into a tight deep pipe - it is about 30 cm long (1 foot), buried in concrete pavement, having firm metal bottom, only 1 cm of the pipe is above the ground so it can not be moved. The pipe was only a bit wider then the ball, so you can not use your hand.
How would you take it out, with no damage?

edit: Well no guesses - its FL pumpkin time for me so I'll post the answers tomorrow so if anyone wants to take a stab at it (night)

Yep you all got it right

leave one switch on, one on for a while and then yep feel for the warm bulb to find the one you turned off

the ball one - you fill it with water and it will float up to the top

Ok I may be completely off on these, my 13 yr old answered the first and it seemed ingenious enough to be right....

Turn 2 switches on for a minute, turn one of them off, quickly go into the room. One light will be on, that will be the switch u left on, one light will be warm, that will be the switch u turned on and off, and the cold light will be the switch that was never turned on.

The ping pong ball, all i can figure is a vacuum cleaner lol

I've heard the bulb one before but can't remember the answer right now.

For the ball one, I would fill the pipe with water and the ball would float up.

As for your ID box on the side. In the location it says you would have to shoot us if you told us. I think I read somewhere where you told us. Does that mean you will shoot us all??????? If you can find us.

these are my answers to smartmom's brain teasers so don't read if you don't want to see that.

to the BULB question:

i would turn on the first switch and wait a minute. then i would turn off that switch and turn on the second one. walk into the room with the lamps. the bulb that is on obviously belongs to the second switch. to figure out the other two, feel the bulbs of the two that are off. the hot/warm one belongs to the first switch and the room temp one belongs to the third switch.

about the BALL:

i would pour water down the pipe and the ball would float up. if the ball was stuck, creating a vacuum should work too.

There are 3 cannibals and 3 monks on one side of the river and they all need to get to the other side. There is one canoe which holds up to 2 people.

Rules are:
Cannibals cannot out number the monks or else the cannibals will eat the monk(s).
There can be an even number of monks/cannibals or more monks than cannibals.

For example:

This is OK

1) two cannibals take the canoe to the other side

-- one side 3 monks and 1 cannibal, other side 2 cannibals

2) one cannibal takes the canoe back

-- one side 3 monks and 2 cannibals, other side 1 cannibal

This is not OK

1) two monks take the canoe to the other side

-- one side 1 monk and 3 cannibals – monk gets eaten

Get everyone to the other side of the river safely.
