My last venture out shopping with husband of mine was to prepare ourselves for the snow we now have. It was a rather unsuccessful trip I might add. Headed to the area where Target once housed snow & winter gear, only to find a spring and summer frenzy of employees quickly working with a look of panic on their faces if they don't get that much needed summer display fully finished!

She is getting pubished! Mini flew off of the school bus yesterday screaming with excitement and beaming ear to ear. Her smile so big and bright I was briefly distracted from what she was trying to tell me. It was all one continuous sentence.....perhaps even one long long word. She didn't even stop for a breath as I watched her pale ivory skin gradually get redder and redder.

My vacation was great!  Hubby-to-be and I went on a road trip to visit his daughter in Wisconsin, and on the way back, we stopped in Chicago to visit the lovely city.  We had a good time, and we had alot of adventures.  Hubby-to-be and I built snow forts with his daughter.  Unfortunately, the snow wasn't packing snow (a new term I learned), only fluff, so we couldn't make a

So... I know I went MIA for the past week and then some... I've been moving...

Now I'm in the middle of nowhere... no Las Palapas down the road, no Jims cheese soup at 2AM, no more Jack in the Box... but on the other hand I just discovered Snickerdoodle Ice Cream and I think I'm in love...

Okay, time to come out of the closet... I've been away from GuG for months now. I hope I don't offend anyone in the process of this blog, but I've had a few people ask about why I left. I told , but asked her to keep it private. Now, I feel no need to hide the reason, as odds are my time on GuG is over.

This is just me venting about the new in laws. It’s very long…SORRY!!

Down came the holiday decorations today. Well actually, I am still in the process of such and just taking a break. Getting ready to indulge in a mimosa ......so I see more "breaks" in my immediate future. I enjoy decorating for the holiday season the most.

So these are the geese I have mentioned in a few threads. Every day, twice a day (breakfast and dinner) thousands of them, well hundreds probably, fly by my home. I know. Big deal. To me however, I have never seen anything like it in my life, except in Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds." This is like that. There are also a group of smaller birds that do the same thing.

Mother Nature is showing a great deal of strength in the bone chilling wind in my area. Last night the wind blew so fiercely, I wanted to pack it all up and move back. That is a testament to how strong the gusts were. I went to bed around midnight. At 3:45 AM I am still wide awake.
