Or if you're like my good friend, you could have totally displaced your trackball and you're functioning around your smartphone with the keypad. Whatever the case might be, I thought I'd share with you where I was able to get a replacement trackball. It's about $14.99 plus tax and shipping. that is a great tip PhOeNiX_OaSiS. another route would be to purchase a used/non working blackberry on eBay or craigslist and simply use it for parts needed.

There is up to 6 different colors to choose from. You can also make a neat custom color if you play around with it a little.
The creator of the application asks for a donation, but it is NOT necessary to download the app. Its just a nice gesture.
i believe this program only works on the pearl 8100 series, it does not work on the 8120 or 8130 series. if you want to change the pearl on those you need to take the phone apart and then take a piece of tape and color it with a color marker of your choice and place the tape over the LED light behind the ball. put the phone back together and then BAM whatever color you colored on the tape will reflect on the ball when the clear led lights up.
Yes, I believe you're right. The site that offers this application made an addendum after I already posted this thread. The Color Pearl only works for the Blackberry Pearl (8100). I would also advise extreme caution to anyone before taking their phone apart.
