last seen 3 weeks 3 days agoWell, I picked up Sprint's new version of the BlackBerry Pearl just a little over 2 months ago. I can't say that, even now, I'm totally familiar with all the functions and capabilities of my phone... it just seems like there's so much to it (and I find the phone's Qwerty keyboard design to be a bit bothersome at times). I recently upgraded my service, and now I have Internet, Navigation and Sprint TV services. Also, I have a gig of memory on a MicroSD card.
I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for specifically, but it would be anything so far as the subject title implies. I guess, like many people, I'm just interested in knowing a little more than the average user. Would anybody know if I can download different Browsers, maybe another OS, or do anything out-of-the-ordinary with the phone? Also, one thing that's always bothered me is that the Caller ID on cellphones will provide the phone number of the incoming caller (as long as it's not blocked), but, unless you have a name associated with that number already saved into the phone, it offers no details about the caller like what's provided with the typical Caller ID services that are available for landlines... Is there any software, or is there a way to trick, customize, or mod my phone to see the name or information associated with an incoming call?
I'm grateful for any ideas or tips, not just the ones I've mentioned, so thank you and I look forward to any input GuG members have to offer! =]

Download Opera Mini. You can get it directly from opera. Its a great mobile browser.
Hi AE! Thanks for your advice! I had hear of Opera before, but never checked it out. I downloaded it after reading your post... works like a charm, and much better than the standard Browser that comes with the phone. Know of any free OS downloads worth looking into?
That's a great phone I love it but occassionaly it will crash on you. Once you get the hang of the keyboard is a piece of cake. With the pearl is recomemded to download another browser becuase the internet browser it has is a bit shady. You cannt go to many sites and if you do it takes long to load and it will sometimes freeze your phone and you will have to reboot by taking the battery out. About the caller ID I don't think there is any program that can give you the capability as a home phone caller ID. I search for the same thing and have not had good luck so far.
