*I have no idea if this is a copyrighted recipe. For all I know, this could be on the side of the Bisquick box right now. I've had it written out on a recipe card from a friend for the past several years, and I don't know where she obtained it from.
2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Heat oven to 450.
Mix first 3 ingredients to form soft dough.
Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 minutes.
Mix butter and garlic powder, brush over warm biscuits.
Serve.
I usually tweak this some. I like a LOT more garlic, so, I either use fresh, finely chopped garlic, or at least a full teaspoon of the powder. I also like to add some basil to the biscuits themselves, either dried, or the wet stuff. Scallions make a nice addition, too.
