I love the new version. I'll admit, I never followed the old one very much, so it wasn't a stretch for me when they introduced the new, female Starbuck, or the Cylon Boomer, things that sent some older fans into a frenzy. It's a well written series, with an excellent cast. OK, so part of the appeal is the fact that Jamie Bamber (Lee Adama/Apollo) is just plain smoking hot, but hey, nothing wrong with a little eye candy now and then. Seriously, though, if you haven't been watching this one, what are you waiting for? Go get the DVD's, get yourself caught up, and start watching when the fourth and final season starts this coming March. You know you want to....

Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.5 It's Official

10, 11 or 12 more episodes in January 2009 officially, completing season 4 dealing with the fallout of finding earth, the head pple, the fifth cylon and all that jazz.......
BSG has now completed filming as of friday 11th July.
BSG will be broadcast in January to avoid the autumn sports season and up and coming new shows that BSG will have to compete with as well not to mention work in post production.
There is some confusion still as to whether there will be 10, 11 or 12 episodes, this is due to the fact that second half season length is 11/12 hours in total but the last episode could be 3 hours or the extra hours could be used in the new 'Razor' like movie.Nothing is confirmed as regards to this yet.

Now I'm not so sure. When the latest episode aired, I checked iMdb, and they only had one more episode listed, now they have a few.

that's right! Battlestar Galactica is only a few weeks away, and I'm bringing my BG blog back! just flipping through the sci-fi channel and noticed BattleStar Galactica Season 4 is going to premiere in a few weeks. so, i'm going to bring my BG blog back. i just started it at the very end of season 3, so i deleted it shortly thereafter. so stick around, i'll make a watcher out of you yet!

Best TV show. EVER!
Love it sooo much! Can't wait for the next series they jsut get better and better! The end of series 3 was amazing I have never watched a TV show or movie that got me so gripped! I can't tell you how amazing it is!

In October, there was a made for TV movie on Sci-Fi, but it was kind of a side story, focused on a different ship for the most part. The 4th and final season will start in March.

There is a video game, based on the mini-series, if I'm not mistaken. I can't remember if my boyfriend or his former roommate had it, so I'm not sure what system it was for, but I know they both got pretty frustrated with it, and I don't think wither one of them ever beat it, lol.
As for "hot chics", well, if you read what 007Martini wrote, you'll see that you've got options in that department.

You're right, it's gotta be the accent. #6...Wow, this past season, with more of them, interesting twist there if you caught the "Razor" movie back in October.
No lie, Boyfriend and I only watch about 4 shows on a regular basis, and this has been at the top of that list since it came out.

Definitely caught Razor. It Fracking rocked! It actually was recently released on DVD, with a bonus extended version released as well. Original television release was 88 minutes, where as the DVD bonus footage is 104 minutes. This movie from my perspective is really created for the BG fan. It tells the story of the BS Pegasus ship & crew several months prior to them finding the Galactica ship. If the viewer is not a BG fan, they'll have a struggle following the plot as nearly the entire cast is in Razor. Before the TV version aired, it was shown at the theatre in a few cities (
where they had the biggest fan base. In March '07, the SciFi channel upped its order from 13 episodes for season four to 22. In other words, 13-hours of episodes to 22-hours worth of episodes and that Razor being 2-hours is included in the 22-hours deal. For those looking to be introduced to BG for the hot chics....go check out Grace Park who plays Cylon "Sharon" as she graced (no pun!) the likes of Maxim Magazine Online. We caught it when it aired on Sci-Fi, but haven't picked up the DVD yet. Since this is the last season, we're just going to wait until it's over and get everything at once. Definitely a keeper, and I heard that once the series is over, they're going to be releasing the unedited versions of the episodes like they did with "Razor", not sure if that'll actually happen, though. Even if not, it'll be fun to get the whole thing at once.

I agree that Razor is more for the fan, but I do think anyone could enjoy it.
I thought it was fantastic! But am glad I didn't watch it first as I think there is so much context in battlestar that the big impact of Razor would be lost a little if you hadn't watched the other series'.
I didn't know that it was put in cinemas in some places, that would have been sooooooo great!

trust me. it was thought of the day the contest was launched. i was too paranoid about copyright infringements and such. i even emailed hubby asking if can write about it because i was going to use the word "porn" in it. i also had some downloaded pics to show each character. but i panicked not knowing the copyright laws. so, here is as far as i got (by the way, the show is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s. it returns in march!!)

Okay. Sex still sells & I managed to capture your attention in a geeky suave kind of way. Let’s bring you to speed on my Sci Fi addiction….shall we?
I’ll begin with my favorite character to the least.
Number Six sizzles! My very favorite character on this series is Number Six (played by Tricia Helfer). She is a Cylon. Created by the humans to work in space on the 12 Colonies of Kobol. She is a charismatic, sexy blond. Tall. Lean. Great smile. Always has the f’me glow. The people in the wardrobe department must not believe in undergarments because this hot cylon chick never has any on. Her attire consists of some futuristic stunning & revealing gowns. Always.
Then there is Starbuck. A female. For those of you who followed BSG in the 80’s you know Starbuck was a dude. Not any more. Her name is Lieutenant Kara Thrace (played by Katee Sackhoff). She is a Vipor pilot. Apollo Adama’s best co-pilot actually. She can drink any human or Cylon under the table, can out fly the best pilots, and look at her wrong and she will give you and arse kicking you will never forget. OTB (one tough brawd!).
Dr. Gaius Baltar. Sexy. Must be the accent! Skinny little geeky doctor guy who happens to be doing the deed with the hot cylon chick, Number Six. Gaius becomes president after a vote of those on board the fleets. He does this with the help of Number Six. She has Gaius convinced he is not human, and that her God has better things in store for him. In the interim, ……
