Bad Tattoo Experiences

Hi, Everyone!  Has anyone ever had a tattoo artist purposely mess up their tattoo?  

I can't definitely prove it, but the last tattoo I got (I have 4 in all), I swear my tattoo artist messed it up on purpose!  The first picture is the entire tattoo... if you look closely at her hand in the second image, you can see she has extra fingers!!!  This was a custom drawn tattoo and the artist tried to sell my the drawing for $25... well, what the hell did I want the drawing for if I was getting it tattooed on me for over $100!!  I think I offended the artist, so he did that on purpose... He didn't even take the tip I left him on my credit card!!!  Yell

Can't say I've had someone do something on purpose to screw it up.  But on my back tricep I have the word "Guerilla" down the arm.  About half-way through the tattoo he asked me how it's spelled and intentionally misspelled it to me which naturally, I about dropped a load.

Then he laughed and told me to check the mock up before letting someone work on you.  It was spelled correctly...at least as a variant.  Point taken, lesson learned.  Not that that is what happened to you.  Just the closest I've had to a bad experience besides just pain in certain spots.

lol  omg... I think I would have just stopped in the middle of the tattoo..they should have a certification  for spelling to be a tattoo artist... lol

 That's a shame that he messed up something that is permanent! i think stevie's right tho. he made a mistake and tried to fix it.

and the crock bout buying the drawing...i think he was trying to tell you that exact drwing wouldn't be on nyone else. what they do is keep the drawing and if someone else wnts a fairy, they just use that drawing as a stencil. if you took the drawing, they couldn't  do that...juliek

hellz, if the thought had been with you, you could have called the credit card company and filed a dispute on the card and not pay it as the services rendered were unsatisfactory. *american express is great for that!*

I think the dude screwed up accidentally and tried to quickly fix it, hoping you wouldn't notice his goof. If I were wanting to purposly mess up that particular tattoo, I would have given her a penis and scrotum - but that just me.

 My tattoo artist loves to tell the story of the guy who came in and asked for a large H.R. Geiger piece. He comes back in a few weeks later all bummed out because his friend is telling him there's a penis in his tattoo. My buddy says oh you mean like this penis, points to a penis. The guy was super bummed. He hadn't seen that one. I guess he didn't know about his stuff that well. Oh well it's only on there forever.

Hmmm, that is interesting.  I read through all of it and it seems to take quite a while. The pics show a mostly faded tattoo but then at the bottom it says results not typical. Still this could be good for fading a tattoo before cover up. Too bad it costs so much or I'd try it out for sure. I have a tribal on my right leg and I plan to fill that leg from the knee down. Maybe I'll try this out cause I'd love just to cover that tribal up instead of coloring around it. I'll bookmark it. Thanks.

I have no idea if it works or not, and don't want to test it on myself, I like my tattoo.  Saw the commercial on TV the other night, though, and I'm curious.

WHAT OMG what he did was horrible!! That ink is going to stay on your skin for the rest of you're life-I would've been so mad. 

Also, what's up with selling you the drawing? I can understand you didn't want it, heck, you see it every day on you anyways!!

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I'm getting my first ink done in a few days and I hope nothing like this is going to happen. What an idiot...

***edit*** I'm loving the fact though that you have fairy ink!!!

He said it was something about not being able to reproduce the drawing so you will have an "original," which is a bunch of crock.  I can draw pretty well, and I know I can draw the same thing more than once.....

Just be careful when/if you decide to get one...  I used an artist for that one I hadn't used before.  The one I got two of my other tattoos moved to Hawaii.. it was the same place though.
