Baby's First Word(s): My son recently said his first word. It was "Mama." How many of you GuG Mom's heard that word for the first time and cried with excitement? What was your baby's first word or words?

my oldest three, which includes you, said "ma ma" first. btw, never mind what you were told coleybooop ....i'm the mommy and you said ma-am first! now, my youngest mini me said "that!" and pointed to everything when she said it.

Mr. Baby's first words were "Da da". I've also heard "Ma ma", "Ba-ba", and "Eh-", the first half of the Dog's name- Echo.
your mr. baby is just a few days/weeks younger than coleybooop's little man!

Dex said "Quack"!
I had a baby carrier on one of my bikes and every day when I got home from work, I either biked him to the park or I put him in a baby jogger and ran. He loved the lake and the playground. Our park had ducks and one day as we approached the lake on the bike I heard him saying something. I stopped, he pointed to the ducks and said "Quack".

Aww... Stevie, that's just too cute.
My sons first word was dada. I was the one 6 months maternity leave, I was the one waking up every three hours, and what's the first word he blesses me with? Dadadadadada..... Eventually he said Mama and that made me cry. Thanks for bringing up this memory for me, it made me smile.

haha I hear you. My oldest was very colic and I walked miles with him all night long and what do I hear first dadadadada - go figure.
Child two said ba-ba and child 3 got it right and said Ma-Ma.
