Anyone Try IE8 or FF3 Beta?
At the Mix Conference in Vegas yesterday MicroSoft demo'd IE8, which is focused on its never ending battle against spyware/malware, phishing, and such. FireFox 3 claims the same improvements. Both provide Beta versions available for download at their sites respectively. I'm testing the FF3 currently. Anyone else sampling the Beta goods?

just wanting to see if anyone other GUG family member is using Firefox 3 (beta) yet? when i started this initial thread, i was using it on my pc. i'm now 100% mac and using FF3 on it. so far it has been great. it is super fast and uses about half the memory. anyone have positive or negative FF3 feedback to share?

Yeah, I been using FF3 Beta, too, and like it. The only add-on I found that wouldn't work was the wmlbrowser...
...but I see that Mozdev just updated it with 0.7.17.
nice tip CM, thanks for providing such. i also switched to their mail, thunderbird, as they now have a calendar incorporated into it much like outlook, but far superior! its like going from a pc to a MAC! *no hater mail please

my findings are the same thus far. however, it is still relatively early in the game so i'm going to give them a fair run at it. i'll keep you posted.

i have tried the FF3, but some of the add-ons i have arent compliant with this version, so i dumped it. i havent tried IE8 yet.
